I like how opie always says he doesn't remember these bits from back in the day, then he talks about how they prepared the bit,. Opie is nothing but a board op with the support of anthony and Jimmy, two hilarious dudes, ant could be a stand up. opie always tries to contribute, but ends up bombing.
even if he's lying, bits like this wouldn't exist without him. and i don't even mean in the sense that he founded the show or keeps things running smoothly. Ant would never be the one to bring in old audio and make himself the butt of jokes for hours on end, and i've never heard of any other show that would do a bit like it. even howard says he'll fire anyone who thinks of roasting him, and those would be softball written jokes. this is the most honest, sincere self deprecation ever
