Actually rapcore is a mix between punk or hardcore punk & rap. Rap rock is a mix between rap & rock. Rap metal is a mix between metal & rap. But most of these groups mix all rap metal, rap rock & rapcore.

i agree with rickeeey1. rapcore is way different. but its okay. because there are so many branches off of it. there's like hardcore,rapcore,metalcore,dea­thcore,grindcore,toughcore,

you could put ant word behind core and its a genre lol. there's thin lines between them all. but they al lhave break downs in some sort.numetal..or rap metal..jsut doesn't. which is why it isn't core.

Just like Metal is a more hardcore version of Rock, NuMetal(Rap-Metal) is a more hardcore version of Rapcore(Rap-Rock). Of course there are more elements involved but that's the easiest I can explain it without going into like crazy detail....lol

first of all linkin park is pop rock music. and RATM is not rap core. the core part means hard core and they arent a hardcore band. they are just a rap band with guitar

Actually, I read on Wikipedia that Urban Dance Squad started the rap core genre in 1989, but were Dutch. RATM were the first AMERICAN rapcore band though.

If you really want to go back in time it was the collaborations of Anthrax with Public Enemy and Aerosmith with Run DMC that gave birth to the genre.
