Thanks for the comment. You are right, there is something macabre about dolls. I saw Living Doll (a Twilight Zone episode) recently which is really spooky (and a bit funny, now).
I have now also posted a version of Dolly Got a Haircut with my own voice. It is such a great song. The original by @poopylungstuffing also has (to me) a sad edge, because she may not actually be just singing about a dolly at all.
Great selection of dolls, and the pitch change to the dolls voice gives the song an edgy macabre twist, and I am reminded of an old movie called from 1997 called "Magic" with Anthony Hopkins where a ventriloquist is at the mercy of his vicious dummy while he tries to renew a romance with his high school sweetheart.
