@regina812 its an INXS track called Gods Top Ten with J D Fortune on vocals. It was written by Andrew Farriss, its a dedication to Michael Hutchence. Lovely song x
TO hutch4ever, have you ever read any biographies, you may change your opinion on whether he took his own life and mixed with prescription drugs and alcohol, he was a depressed man for many years !!!!
@wendymr3 Totally agree....I have read many accounts from family and friends that say in the last couple of years of his life that he was very troubled and constantly said that he "Couldn't take it anymore". He also called Martha Troup, his manager, the morning of his death and told her the he "Had @#$&ing had enough". That pretty much says it all. He was a man at the end of his rope. Just wish someone had been there to talk him down...things may have turned out differently. :(
Always hard to view this footage. I love Michael and always will. For my mother it was Elvis, for me it is Michael Hutchence. I do NOT believe he hanged himself, there is too much evidence to the contrary but that is how I feel. Thanks for posting.
Hutch told me about another Australian band named the Hoodoo Gurus. This was part of the inspiration behind me writing the song "Hoodoo/Voodoo Medicine Man" for Aerosmith released on their '89 Pump album. "Read it in the papers, it ain't fair, You know who today don't seem to care, Livin' lovin' gettin' loose, Masturbatin' with a noose" - See how Michael Hutchence died. Hutch nicknamed me Haarani Tiger Lily in 1983 when I was 15 and we started a relationship.
Hutch brought Egyptian movie producer Dodi Fayed (Chariots of Fire & Allied Stars) to meet me as a teen and told me about the poet Hammad al-Harrani from Haran, Turkey which inspired the name Haarani Tiger Lily and Hutch gave me the nickname Tiger. Tom Cruise’s co-star in Cocktail, Australian Bryan Brown, made reference to me in the movie F/X2 by coming up with the mechanical clown called Bluey. Bluey in Aussie slang means redhead, like me. Dodi was the producer on the F/X movies.
Thanks grace1835, very lovely song....
