My wife and I were passing Danny's Starlight Room on West 46th Street and we both spotted Blossom's picture and said, "Wow" - it's Blossom Dearie. We had both loved her music in the 60s but didn't know each other liked her. We got tickets and spent the most amazing evening ever with Blossom. This was in January 2005 - one of Blossom's last performances. She planned to come to London again, but it was not to be. RIP Blossom - there will never be another like you!
This is my favorite CD of Blossom's, she wrote this song with Jack Segal and it was probably one of her best. It was recorded at Nola Studios in NYC and sounds marvelous. The whole CD is great, and includes Duncan Lamont's "I Did It All For You" as well as some other gems. You can now get it on Amazon or her website, look out for the Blossom Baby Boom!
I saw Blossom in a small Greenwich Village bar called 'The Horn of Plenty' in the early 1980's. It was a magical night and one I will never forget. Thank you Blossom for your talent.Rest in peace.
god! i'm getting old... i remember seeing mike in providence, at ,i think it was called brandy's with a great local guitarist named mike or mark cuidini. i'm not sure of the spelling, but they did a great version of "stompin' at the savoy". i was taking lessons at the time and proceeded to learn the hell out of the song.(which i still love). my son and i do a nice guitar duet on it, if i do say so myself... but i am prejidice(?) r.i.p. blossom xxoo

I love it but could not figure out some of the lyrics and could not find it anywhere on the internet; I wonder if anyone can help:
"Did your arms carry me where eagles fly
Did your kiss _ _ _ _ _ _ _"
"Those sultry summer nights you didn't call
On crying when _ _ _ _ last fall"
"_ _ _ that might have _ _
yesterday, or long ago"
"so cystal clear
_ _ _"
Many thanks in advance

Did your kiss sail me through a midnight sky.

and

I flash on scenes that might have happened

I recall when Blossom use to appear in
Green Village, New York back in the late
1950s and early 1960s.
