You have great potential there, good pitching overall. I'd say you need to work on your technique, you're focussing pretty much all your voicing on your throat and nose as opposed to diaphragm but with some technique and practice it'll all become much easier. You definitely have the natural ability.

no he's right. it's not the volume but the recording equipment is not the best, however, she does go way too high sometimes. it's good she can hit those notes and she is good but she needs to learn to control it. just because she has the range doesn't mean she has to hit every single key she can.

I am writing to you from my daughter's u-tube account because I happened upon your video and wanted to comment. While listening I was reading the comments. I am sorry the focus of some of those comments were about breathing wong. To those people I would say that only your vocal instructor has the right to critique or judge. What I heard was an amazing performance of a an extremely difficult song. You are obviously very well-trained and while no one is perfect you come pretty darn close.
I think what g12elpidio is saying is that when you breathe, your shoulders go up. This indicates that you are not actually deep breathing or getting as much support as you possibly can. (because moving your shoulders up to breathe is not natural - trying laying on your back and doing it) Your singing is super great, and I hope you go far with a career, but the video proves that your breathing is not consistent. Of course, it is a nit picky comment.
You can not breathe from lower than your chest, its not physically possible. What I think you are trying to imply by using the diaphragm to aid support, is something you really need to understand before making such comments. You sound really uneducated on this topic. Go do some up to date research.
I think you're confused. Maybe you mean stop singing from my chest voice?...in which case I will say that most of my belting notes are from my chest, not my head voice. This video may not be the best to display it, but I certainly push from my diaphragm and through my training with 7 different well known instructors I've learned not to breath in a way that will hurt my voice or my body. i understand what you are saying. you may not know the technical terms, but you were just trying to give her a suggestion. you're right. she does breathe from her chest and diaphragmatic breathing would offer more support. also, breathing through the nose instead of the mouth will create resonance in the nasal cavities and take the sound out of the throat for the most part. obviously, as you sing lower, the air vibrates in your throat and chest, but there should never be any pushing.

Really nice tone! You nned to work on balancing your power though...it looks like you have to belt to get the pitch you want but I suspect that with some practice that wouldn't be the case. Great job!

Hey I think you're great and you should keep singing- however I think you might want to consider singing Galinda's parts because your tonal quality fits that character more than it does with Elphie's.(:

This is a very hard song to sing. I would know, I had to sing it for a concert here, and I believe I failed miserably. I'm a very high soprano so I was unsure why I was assigned it in the first place, since I am not and have never been a belter, but wow, I wish I could have pulled it off like you did. :D Fantastic.
