This piece happens to be written by A.Parisotti (1853-1913), an italian music editor and composer.
Mr Parisotti's most well known publication is "arie antiche", an anthology of Italian songs of the 17th and 18th centuries.
This compilation includes arias written by Paisiello, Scarlatti, Haendel, Pergolesi and Parisotti himself even if he attributed the work to other composers. It is the case of this very aria.
I loved this. It's so different and actually ENTERTAINING. Not to be rude, becasue I think classical music is beautiful, but it can be a little boring at times. This, however, is a whole package of interesting things. Bravo!
and also, I just LOVE the dancer's white dress. Was it an original?

I thought the idea behind this video was intriguing. and the voice has wonderful tonality. However i would have liked it better if the dance told the story of the song better.

If I remember correctly the guy was suppose to stand up near the end of the song, and approached Isabelle. We were then suppose to do 3 or 4 moves together, then finish the song the same way the dancer do.

At this point, time was missing. The vibe on the set was pretty bad, and no felt that the guy in the chair "storyline" was important, so we kept it at the minimum (because we did spent money on wardrobe and the chair.)

The 1st cut I had to do from my shot list was many sets up of Isabelle. The director of Photography and I had problems to understand each other, so it took forever to light the 1st scene (which was a master shot)

i agree they have completly ruined this, i find that a song that has been changed like this is disrespectfull to the artist
