There's a reason that singers use autotune. It's because with Instruments being digital now the tuning of the instruments is automatic. It's much more difficult to tune digital instruments to the tonality of a singer than it is to tune the singer to the instruments.

Wrong, the "effect" you hear is actually, auto-tune correcting his errors in pitch values, if the effect is always on, hes not singing at the correct pitch, hence, he cant sing.
Autotune is actually meant to be used AS an effect. It does allow pitch control but don't give T Pain a hard time because EVERY artist who has ever recorded in the studio has had voice correction to some level which all boils down to digitally mastering someones voice. Some more than others. IE: pitch control, tempo etc. The Autotune program is used as a vocal effect on T Pains music which doesn't mean he just talks and tweaks his voice. You have to be able to sing! T Pain rocks!

There's a reason that singers use autotune. It's because with Instruments being digital now the tuning of the instruments is automatic. It's much more difficult to tune digital instruments to the tonality of a singer than it is to tune the singer to the instruments.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not disagreeing in the case of Lil' Wayne. He's garbage 90% of the time. But let's just not discredit music JUST because of the use of autotune. Good music is good. bad music is bad. autotune or not

Wrong, the "effect" you hear is actually, auto-tune correcting his errors in pitch values, if the effect is always on, hes not singing at the correct pitch, hence, he cant sing.

Autotune is actually meant to be used AS an effect. It does allow pitch control but don't give T Pain a hard time because EVERY artist who has ever recorded in the studio has had voice correction to some level which all boils down to digitally mastering someones voice. Some more than others. IE: pitch control, tempo etc. The Autotune program is used as a vocal effect on T Pains music which doesn't mean he just talks and tweaks his voice. You have to be able to sing! T Pain rocks!
