Lastly, you cant buy a "spot" in heaven by being morally Good. That might be the teachings of false religions - but it is not the teaching of the truth. Accordingly- the only way to have a spot in heaven is by a substitutionary atonement for your sins. In other words - you need a subsititute to go to hell for you and pay your sin debt to make reconciliation between you and God. That's why sinners need Jesus as a savior. Sinners are justified by faith in his works alone.

Maybe God was testing your faith. Have you ever read the book of Job? Even when God took everything away from Job and left him in sufferring - Job still praised God. You must understand that God is Sovereign and Just because things did not work out they way you wanted them - doesnt mean that God did not have a good purpose beyond your understanding.
