  • @darthfurious80 yep, should still in my videos...

  • were can you get a scope like that cant find them

  • Look at this military ass hole, no pride in what he does. after you are done firing he simply says: "next". Great video none the less, I have mad respect for anyone who has shot this gun!

  • Those M1903a1/UNERTL rifles would shoot just over 1/2 MOA with match ammo. They grouped about 3.5 inches at 600 yards.

  • i've been trying to find an unertl scope, but they are all very expensive. i freakin love that scope!!!

  • Didnt you know how to operate a bolt or were you just being cautious?

  • Why is he so heavy handed with the bolt?

  • is it so hard to put the bolt up?

  • Probably not, I was only making sure it didn't hit the UNERTL scope...

  • Oh i see now

  • @UBERKalti is it safe?!?!?!?

  • @scktz Yes it is...

  • I LOVE THAT SCOPE!

  • I wish mine wasn't demilled :(

  • my springfeild is nice if it gets that way i just put some wd 40 or some gun oil and it works fine

  • The springfield has a pretty strong bolt and takes a bit of pressure to push it back. So it's understandable.

  • wow, nice to see some more of these, especially with the old UNERTL scope mounted on it. the scope its self could go for about 900 dollars on ebay.

  • It has nothing to do do with not knowing how to, it's about making sure it doesn't hit the scope :)

  • That is why when building a bolt action sniper rifle, the bolt is bent down,so it doesnt hit the scope.

  • @UBERKalti If it hit the scope then you wouldn't mount it.

  • @1776PatriotTeen True, it's just that the guy before me slided the scope forward before he handled the bolt... and that beauty '03 wasn't mine so I wanted to take care.

  • @UBERKalti Are you sure he slid the scope forward? Could it have been backwards? Because the Unertl scope on these rifles is designed to slide forward under recoil which eliminates the problem they encountered on WW1 era Springfield Sniper rifles of the scope moving and shifting zero- the guy before you might have reset the scope to it's original position after he shot.

  • That's a sweet '03. That probably is worth a good $10k

  • I have an M1903A1 (fully original) that was made in the 1920's. The barrel is probably more new but it comes from the Springfield Armory so it's still considered a matching barrel. I paid only about $450 for it. I lucked out =3

  • @LupisLupine you can find the date of the barrel manufacture at the front end of th barrel
