We got jets that can fly to edge of space, we can launch planes in the middle of the ocean in just about any kind of weather and Nasa decides the best they can come up with is an Apollo throwback. No wonder Obama canceled it.

a step back? more like a few steps back. there was really nothing wrong with the shuttles except the people at NASA that managed it, a good example of this would be Shawn Okeff. if they had taken pictures of Columbia while she was in orbit the accident that killed her astronauts could have easily been avoided and I believe that the shuttles would still be flying, unfortounatly hat wasn'y the case and the United States is now left without a space exploration vehicle
