  • Great video.. But i have a question. When you take the bulbs and break them into cloves and plant them, will the cloves grow into bulbs again?

  • @TheRastaRick Yes.

  • So IM in middle Tn I planted my garlic around sept..how long will it take to harvest ususally?

  • whenever I try I get garlic grass or green garlic not the garlic ball like the ones I buy from market, is there any way to grow garlic balls indoor ?

  • Nice tips! I'm currently establishing a garlic patch, and leaving most of them in so they propagate. Although garlic is best planted in early to mid fall, if spring planted garlic is left in for a year, it will also do fine.

  • Garlic & onions: What about the little bulbs that form from the "flower'? They've been falling to the ground and producing more garlic and onions. I am collecting some to plant in other areas of my garden.

  • excellent. Thanks for posting and here's to the Stinkin' Rose: garlic.

  • Thank you for posting this useful video. I'm going to try it. :)

  • Thanks, Im going to do it! Great video and I have the perfect spot! Apparently there is a green sprout at the top of the plant that tastes amazing as a pesto or in sauce.

  • @szazulyk Glad you liked my video. I wanted to show people how easy it is to grow healthy foods. If you feel a cold coming on, eat raw garlic (on full stomach). Chop one clove and take it with water, if you do it early enough, you may not even get sick or have just mild symtoms :)

  • Thanks for sharing ..I have a question..if not store bought garlic, where/when else to find the right garlic? And, when to pull up in the spring?? TIA

  • @xxLabrat407xx

You can buy garlic seed bulbs at the nursery or garden center or order from internet. We got our garlic seed from a farmer friend, two different varieties, one is called "Music", it has very strong flavour (I don't know what the other one is called :).

Garlic should be pulled up when leaves start to turn brown, in the end of July, (in Ontario).
