Viv Richards was 10000X better - played on much more difficult faster and bouncier tracks; against faster and more dangerous pacers; without even a helmet he faced the Snows, Lillees, Thommos, Imrans, Willis, Hadlees, Bothams, Kapils, Pascoes, Hoggs, Wards, LeRouxs etc; and there were no BS rules like one-bouncer-per-over fielding restrictions wide down leg-side etc. The likes of Bradman, Richards, Sobers etc belong to the 1st tier. T'kar sits in the 2nd tier.

Bradman is not in the first tier, for reasons I already mentioned. Richards was a great batsmen and an intimidating figure for bowlers, but he had his problems against spin. Garfield Sobers is without a doubt the most versatile and complete cricketer to have ever lived, so no argument there.

if you actually break down the stats. you will find that he has scored the most runs against quality bowling attack. in the era of warne and mgrath he was one of the only batsman who could dominate them. when he was young he was able to take on the quality pace attack on the traditional bouncing pitches of australia while the rest of the order struggled. he can destroy warne on the fourth or fifth day of a testmatch on an indian pitch. do you have any idea how much that spins???

Pakistan batsmen are crap, they depend on Inzamam to win the match. whereas, if sachin fails then we have good batsmen like dravid, sehwag, yuvraj, dhoni, ganguly etc.. but still sachin scores atleast one century in every series he plays and India wins. which no other batsmen are able to acheive.

when sachin comes up against a new bowler he hasent faced before and gets out, he goes and looks at hours of footage of the bowler, his style, deleveries, and carries his massive bat with him.

No fielder dove for a ball in Bradman's era. He faced ONE TEAM for the majority of his career, England. Cricket was a sport with no athletic prowess when Bradman played.

@aussiestuff I don't think so. What about Bradman's bodyline weakness that halved his average and his difficulty in playing leg stump deliveries. That's how he basically got out. A good batsman would have improved on such a weakness but he didn't. Also, he didn't have Wasim Akram, Shane Warne, Glenn Magrath, Muralitharan etc. bowl to him.
