  • Really blows that they chose to make NY their area of focus rather than the rest of the US. Now you have knives that are only appealing to one state rather than the rest of the 49. I'd never buy a knife that frustrating to open and use.

  • These look like great knives and I have been thinking about getting one for some time. But I dont get the concern about New York City laws. That's one state out of 50, surely the sensible, non-New York majority should rule? Doesnt make sense to me. Also why ATS-34 rather than CPM-154? ATS-34 is a Japanese made equivalent of 154CM. Both 154CM or the Crucible powder steel equivalent of CPM-154 which is reputed to have excellent edge holding qualities, are both US made steels, so why not use them?

  • @Buffalohump77 All the knives I have were made with S30-V. I think the new ones are 154-CM and not ATS-34. I will have to confirm that from the manufacturer for future pieces.

  • @TheHollowGrind Thanks, I have visited your site and have one in my cart but it doesnt seem to allow overseas shipping, is that correct?

  • @Buffalohump77 ATS-34 = 154CM just made by Hitachi in Japan rather than Crucible in the US. It's far, far cheaper than 154CM, costs about a third.
