No mate. It looks doubled edged...but its not. It WAS when I bought it. But I made the second edge blunt a couple of years ago...When I bought it the customs laws were different back then. More relaxed. People also use to be able to walk down the street with a rifle in a gun bag and no one would bat an eyelid. How things have changed.... :-(
@RDPproject I had a gunsmith shop b4, and I was acctually amazed at the number of folks that didnt even have a gunbag! I live in Sweden we have very hard laws here, like you or worse!?. But thank god we can own double edged knives still.
Was surprised to see your name pop up on one of my old videos.
I like para cord aswell. But the stuff you see in this video is our thin aussie paracord. Its not as thick as the 550 you have over there. 550 para cord is not easy to get here in oz. We need to mail order it or get it from ebay and its not really cheap at all. I would love some of the desert tan camo 550 and plan on getting some soon as im working again.
When the knife is seated in the sheath it is held in place by the plastic. The top half of the plastic (side facing out towards the camera). The back is alot flatter.
When you twist the knife. The two guard prongs on the knife push apart the two plastic sides and opens the sheath up.
Then its much easier to pull the knife out.
If you freeze the vidoe at about 0:16 you can see that the outside of the plastic has alot more shape to it than the flat back. Hope that helped.
Great vid Bru' I especially liked the emphasis on ' 'Bush craft ' Survival knife there are quite a few who try to ' blend ' the two. The cordage stop / knot placement is well said, in the Military I experienced ' pressure point ' prob's with some kit - carry. Perhaps A warning about the strangulation possibilities with Paracord and the like, around your neck, if you fall, or get it caught up etc, high breaking strain cord wont give out, your neck / life will definitely ! Great vid M8 Thanks
When it comes to self defense weapons...well....there is NO SUCH THING in Australia. Any knife you have on you must be for work purposes only....no other reason.
Carpenter, chef, scout, fisherman....that sort of thing. If you use a knife in self defence and the other person has no weapon or anothrer knife...even tho you did the rigth thing...you could still be charged with going armed in public. If you used a knife that you had on you for work...well...they may be lenient on you. its complex.
Im not one for having stuff around my neck but i love the para cord work you have done.... The handel looks great im sure gives a good grip as well as giving you extra cordage... The sheath looks good too as well as giving extra cordage. the part your putting around your neck would make a good leg strap... maybe that knive is to short for that but i have a knive im gonna set up just like that but wear on my belt and use it for a leg strap ....Great vid... Thanks
Thats a good sheath. I'm not a neck knife person.. but I've heard many people say that they want the neck cord to snap easily because paracord can lynch you if you slip and it catches a branch.. Just a thought :)
something like a jewelers catch, designed do snap under heavy pressure might be handy.
Very true. That would also kinda cancel out the 'Combat' veriaty of neck knives. As you pull the knife out, you would want the neck strp to hold firm. Kinda a catch 22 situation. Mine is to be worn inside a jacket tho. Much easier to deploy and use than a belt worn knife...if your wearing a snug or long coat. Mush easier to unzip the top 8-10 inches than trying to lift up the coat over the belt.
All knives are very individual. Each to their own.
how did that clear costoms it dubble edg?

i've heard of aussie laws regarding self-defense weapons. Can you carry the neck knife around in public?

Thx mate. It can be done with almost any knife design and the cord wrap around the sheath can be doubled for extra lenght.

That sheath design is very clever. like it alot. Aussies FTW.
