Hey, I heard you mention you're living in Japan. I'm living in Vietnam at the moment and I'm really wanting to get my hands on an MPC 1000. They're just not available here- period.. Seeing as how the MPC is made in America I wanted to know if you could tell me how much a good condition to brand new MPC 1000 costs out there. I got a friend that might be comin out here and I want to ask her if she could look for one for me.
I've been looking at getting the sp 555 for about a year now and I recently learned that the mpc 500 is an alternative. Can you tell me which would be a better machine to use for drum loops, bass lines and acapellas? I do lots of remixing and I don't use software. I use synths, vinyl and I've got an old EPS. Any feedback would be great. Thank you.
I Make ebats as well for a living I Have a Roland sp 555 and Do not kno how 2 use it...Could u tell me how or give a demo or somethin i looked all over youtube 2 find one
so can some one explain what he jsut did? im not "knowlegble" in music producing language such as chopping and sampling, i jsut hop into fl studio and make music.

AWSOME SHIT I HAVE 2 SP555 AND NEVER SEE PEOPLE USING THEM THERE VERY GOOD SAMPLERS AND I USE FL STUDIOS ,KOMPLETE 6 AS A VST WITH THE FL STUDIO

"Chopping" is cutting a piece of music into differnt parts.
Sampling is replaying something that is recorded or recording something to sample LOL
When u rip a cd/mp3 and bring it into fruityloops , you are sampling and if you ever cut one part of the song
It doesn't matter what you call just as long as you understand what your doing

Hahaha, that's really neat. Chopping music isn't hard is it? I'm going to try to chop some clips from Japanese shows and some music in a few days.
