  • Another great song from Lighthouse that should have been number one on the billboard charts

  • I really like Dreams and Chase a lot. I've heard a lot of good things about Lighthouse and had to check them out. Thanks for sharing! I wish this style was still "commercially-viable" these days...

  • thank you for posting this .i played this song. i played this song at lincoln center and all over europe in 1973

  • plhnpplayed this song at lincoln center in new york in 1971 and all over europe in 1973 everybody loved it go iss

  • Canadian baby!

  • 1971...Back when top-40 had diversity and variety...pop, rock, jazz/fusion, soul, r&b, funk, glam, hard rock, country, novelty, easy listening, christian/jesus rock, reggae, folk, progressive...

  • The horn section in this song, along with the jangly guitar line, is just marvelous. Make you wanna get up and dance.

  • Would have loved to see them and Chicago together ! Would have been epic !!!

  • Ladies and Gentleman this is Scott Munie WNEW-NY and is sure is One Fine Morning.

  • Holy shit, these guys sound EXACTLY like the band Chicago!

  • Was wondering if I could find this. Glad I did!! Brings back GOOD memories!

  • wooooshhhh!!!!

  • Has Anybody Tried Breaking To This. It's perfect :P

  • Glad I finally attempted to look up the words and found this song. It reminds me of not only Blood Sweat and Tears but Ides of March doing Vehicle. If this came out in 1971 I was 9 years old. Because of an older friend I was already steeped into music. It was great to hear this song. Probably the first time since the 70s.

  • Bob McBride died while getting Buttphucked by Peter North back in 2001 at a Canadian Gay bath house.

  • i was born in 1972 i know this song when i got in my teens

  • If you graduated highschool in 1971, you certainly remember this song that came out in the Fall of that year. Music was so good back then, this song didn't even rate in the top 100 back then. I hear this wonderful song now and wonder where the last 40 years have gone!

  • As fabulous as this recording is I invite you to check out the band's website and find out where they're playing so you can come out and see them play live. They're as good as ever (some people think they're even better!!).

  • Thanks, jgwalla.

it's amazing how many people bought Chicago's Greatest Hits looking for this song.

  • @jenniferjollimore Is your papa Howard Shore?

  • did they ever do this on tv in the early 70's?

  • Great bass and horns! Ala Blood, Sweat and Horns and Chicago.

  • Great bass and horns!

  • this song makes me smile and think of my papa who is playing the sax

  • Gosh, I forgot about this song.

  • this song makes me sooo happy cuz i can listen to my papa play the sax

  • if I had only one song to cheer me up this would be it. I used it in Vietnam to help me forget I was there. I lost my homemade tape when I was medvaced and haven't heard this song since than. brings back a rush of emotions not all good. thanks for the post.

  • @Zoppoman Welcome home, Buddy!

  • これ聞くと、タイジのカバーは超えているな。

  • Check out the brass, what a gas!!

  • Man, those last few notes he sings still give me goose bumps. After all these years...Wow

  • Anyone with a good voice should sing this song to show what they can do with it.

  • this song ooooozes 1970s Toronto, nice

  • I"ve been checking this band out and the only song I recognise was this one....very cool Blood Sweat and Tears and Chicago kind of vibe....was this a hit? Did they have other hits?

  • These were best days for Lighthouse...McBride had a powerful voice...Prokop was good but not like MacBride.......

Saw them many times.......Those days seemed better than these days...Oh yeah..old age!!!!!

  • This is what circa 1971 Top 40 radio was all about. Guitars, horns, and a Blood, Sweat and Tears-style vocal. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

  • Hey there, I was in dundas !!

  • Great old tunes reminds me off cruising the streets of Toronto with my top down looking for a party... circa (oh forget it too long ago) cheers

  • I'm pretty certain I saw this group perform live at RCAF Stn. Cold Lake, in the early '70s. They were and are very uplifting.

  • Thank you for posting!

  • Can never get enough of Lighthouse. RIP Bob McBride. You are truly missed!

  • I just saw Lighthouse, Styx, (dennis De Young) CCR and the Doobies recently at Rock the Park in London Ontario. Great concert.

  • my first concert, they opened for The Guess Who: 1974

  • Lighthouse opened for Alice Cooper and Steppenwolf at the Detroit Olympia in April '71

helluva show, Boones Farm and lotta smoke

  • my step father is the keyboardest in lighthouse!

  • It's truly too bad the "One Fine Morning" you are listening to here is NOT the original 1971 version as pictured on the original Lp. I have the original1971 LP (2 copies!) I need to post it soon. What you are hearing is a 1976 REMIX Lighthouse did. Check it with even your old 1971 mono single mix and you can hear it.

Maybe i can download the actual 1971 LP mix soon Best of luck to all

  • It's wonderful to see someone who is a young person, loving true music! The 70's were just magical!I love all music, even today, there is good stuff out there.

  • best song for sunny day road trips

  • I'd take "Sunny Days" for sunny days but the band is correct. Either way this in my opinion is the #1 Canadian song of the rock and roll era.

  • nah man

best Canadian song of the rock and roll era has gotta be Say Hello by April Wine

that song makes me wanna cruise down a beach strip at 2 am, man

  • One of my favs!!!
