Thanks for the advice. However, that has already been done with this recording and it sounds perfect compared to this version.

Get a high-end modern turntable (the Technics SL-1200MK2 is an excellent one) and use it to convert this record to a digital format. I'm not too sure on how it would handle early Berliner's like this, but I converted many early disc records this way (although they dated from c. 1907-1920s).
