I have little a question to someone who knows what is the best way to fix padKontrol. I'm waiting for my padKontrol, but still thinking in which way to do it. I've heard that percussion stand is a good solution, but I'm not sure which to choose (snare or drum stand).

So my drum rolls were in time with the global bpm (I think I had the global quantisation set to 1/16 notes) but the Walking In The Air track goes out of time because I didn't warp it properly...if that makes sense.

how do you get it so that if you've got a loop assigned to a pad, and you click it multiple times in a row, it doesnt replay each loop over the top of eachother, it just play the loop from the last time you hit it? if that makes sense... haha

@oliverhazard73 Pad Kontrol is a great unit, just because it doesn't store samples doesn't mean you can't trigger them evident on this video, and you can do that on pretty much any music software, not just abelton; arguably it is better on abelton mind. But for example I use Cubase 5 and that works perfectly fine evidently in the Video Response to this video.

nah all the sounds are on the computer in Ableton Live & the PadK is just controlling the software

I would definitely recommend Ableton though :) the PadK just makes it more fun.

I think an Akai MPC is what you're after, similar looking unit but has all the stuff built in, you save sounds on an SD card I think & then you can chop it all up & shit

The padKontrol costs $200. You do need to use it with a computer though and use it with software.

I'm probably being a pain but you can also use the midi out port to control any synth/module/thing with a midi in port...but you will need an external power adapter as it usually is powered by USB

but yeah more people just control software with it :D
