The Shield is the most incredible and compelling show I've seen on TV, definitely the best show ever. Shawn Ryan has raised the bar so high that will be very difficult in future to see any show better than The Shield !
The most loyal was Lem. He even went against his own morals to be loyal. Like when, in season 2, he and Shane (That bastard...) slipped that dude a shiv so that he could murder Armadillo Quintero and Vic would be safe?
@mescatraz33 I don't know if Lem was more loyal then Ronnie. Lem burned the money, Lem walked away. Ronnie didn't turn on them even after he was brutally attacked and had his face burned on the stove.
@GULLYGUS15 I don't mean to put myself in the middle of your guys very entertaining conversation(which is not sarcasm) but I love this show too, it's always been my favorite and I've watched all the seasons all the way through tons and tons of times. Never gets old and it always no matter what gets me. I come from a family of police so that's partially why I love it so much. And since I can see you guys love this show as much as I still do, I figured I'd throw something in. lol
@GULLYGUS15 fan all the way through and I agree with mescatraz33. Lem went against his own beliefs to back his team. There were a lot of examples but the part that always got me was in season five when Becca was trying to get him to turn on the team so he could get a better deal and she was saying she was just trying to protect him, blah blah blah, and he said "no, you're trying to get me to turn on my family" He died for his team man. That's about as loyal as you can get.
@ihatefaggotbitch He did not die for his family. He was murdered by his weazle brother who was looking out for his own best interests. Lem was loyal in that he would have gone to jail willingly to save the team but he did not choose to die. His death did not make him loyal his death made Shane unloyal to Lem and unloyay to Vic and Ronnie. That's why Vic and ronnie wanted to kill him.
@ihatefaggotbitch He did not die for his family. He was murdered by his weazle brother who was looking out for his own best interests. @GULLYGUS15 I can see what you are saying. I don't really think of it like that though, which is probably why I believe he died for his team. The whole Shane thing, I think Vic was a little hypocritical. Vic killed Terry because he was a rat. Vic was protecting the team. Shane was using Vic's mindset. He thought he was protecting the team. And I actually honestly believe Shane was the most loyal to Vic. He always backed him up, with his kids, with Corrine, with captain ass, always had his
@ihatefaggotbitch Was he loyal when he abducted Vic's family? Was he loyal when he waited at Vic's house to kill him? Was he loyal when he told Antwon he would kill him? If that's your idea of a loyal friend then lets stay strangers ok.
@GULLYGUS15 Pretty sure he saved them when he "abducted" them. Hmm, we both know he wasn't gonna kill Vic. He had his chance long before that and he didn't. He killed Lem cause he thought he was protecting his team and he also had a wife and daughter to think of. And judging by the way that Vic was still alive when the show ended I don't think Shane meant what he said to the thug. That's just common sense coming out of me though. You can say he didn't kill him cause Vic found out if you want but
@GULLYGUS15 he told Vic why he went along with it and every Shield fan knows he wasn't gonna do it. He also saved Vic's ass in season seven, when they busted little miss car thief again, she shot her shotgun through the door and if Shane hadn't of shoved him out of the way Vic would have died. Nice try though pal.
Lol, lighten up buddy. Think about taking up common sense and not taking things so serious. I was just being friendly. Take the tampon out of your ass bro.
@GULLYGUS15 back even when he was treated like shit. Especially when Vic needed the money for his kids, the money train cash that is. Lem and Ronnie said no and Shane had his back. No, he wasn't as smart as sly as Vic. But he was loyal as fuck. I personally think he was better off working vice. The duo hick and the spic was great, lol. But then we wouldn't had three more great seasons if he didn't go back like he did.
And the reason I said I don't think like you do about Lem is because I
@ihatefaggotbitch Shane was never loyal to anyone not even his wife. Shane had no loyalty to Lem and Lem saved his ass more then once. Shane was never loyal to Tavon either. Shane turned on Vic and Ronnie and even tried to kill them both. To think Shane was loyal proves you watch the show but you fail to understand it.
@ihatefaggotbitch Shane only ever cared about money. Sure he voted for Vic to use the money in his need but Lem and Ronnie who proved to be the most loyal of the 4 were acting more on Vic's behalf then Shane was by saying no because they knew the money was traceable and it would lay at their door and there would be no escape from it. I think Shane would have later used it as an excuse to help himself to the cash and I think that was his motive for the yes vote in the first place.
@GULLYGUS15 believe he would have died for his team if it was his choice. Yes, Shane murdered him. But he was willing to take on prison life for them. And to some people, death can be better than prison. I'm not saying you're wrong or anything or trying to start shit. Just saying how I view it. It's my favorite show and has been for years, it hits home a lot with me. Lol, so try lightening up. Either I took your reply wrong or you are kind of a chapped ass.
@ihatefaggotbitch I just don't see how his death would make him loyal. Lets say Lem did go to the team and say hey I'm loyal to you guys drop a grenade in my lap and I'll prove it to you.... His death was not an act of loyalty it was an act of cowardliness which was explained when Vic said to Shane in their final act as brothers and friends. Vic said he didn't turn on us he never turned so in that he was loyal yes but then Vic says you killed him because you were scared. That's how I see it.
@GULLYGUS15 awesome ideas, lol. I loved reading all of this. I'm thinking you guys should cut me in so we got three awesome Shield freak minds combined, haha. That was just my two cents though guys.
And don't pay attention to my name, it's an inside joke between my bro and I. I don't hate gay people. lol
@iadoreshield I agree. The writers could not have ended it more perfectly. We all woulda thought Vic would go to prison or out in a blaze of glory but the writers knew a better fate for him...desk jockey. As far as Shane goes, he did the right thing by eating his service pistol's barrel but I knew that punk would kill his family first, he was such a little bitch. RIP Curtis "Lem" Lemansky. Lem was the best character!!
@TheNewsquest I have thought the same thing but honestly it would ruin the integrity of the show. Ronnie will never be released and vic's life is beyond repair. The only logical end to a movie or new show would be for vic to die either by his own hand or murder. Sorry but I don't think people would want to see that (the end of the series was depressing enough). My point is that in a vague way the show wrapped up the story very neatly with no need to go any further. I
Every member of the Strike Team had their own illegal shit they brought to the table. Vic was no doubt the ring leader pulling the strings, and at the end of the series it killed me that the ONE thing that made Vic, Vic, was his loyalty, and he sold it all out. When in reality, had he bluffed the deal, shane may have killed himself and they would all be clear anyway. Again.. hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Vic is definitely evil personified.... he was the creative mind which kept the enterprise going and which eventually led to the downfall of nearly everyone !!! He violated the cardinal rule of squad which was loyalty to each other. The irony here is the belief that the main difference between them & (other) criminals was loyalty to each other !!!
When Dutch arrests Ronnie Ronnie asks for what? and Dutch says The last 3 years but he also mentions Terry's murder and based on Vic's confession Ronnie would not have been party to that. Don't you think Dutch would have heard the confession tape and if he knew Ronnie had nothing to do with it is it possible that Dutch was deliberately falsely accusing Ronnie as a way of setting a mistrial?
Remember at the end of Vic's tapped confession to Olivia, she pointed out that he had "incriminated Ronnie in enough shit to put him away for the rest of his life." This is a fact that was said on the second to last episode. This means that, despite him possibly not going away for covering up Terry's murder...he may very well go away for other acts done and covered up by the strike team.
He killed the guy that broke into Vic's house for one he was totally involved in the armed robbery of the money train. He tied up Shane's wife and helped Vic kick the shit out of Shane but all of that aside it's important to know that this was a TV show that ended years ago. ( It's time to let it go.)
@Sodiumreactor Ronnie doesn't have the balls to confront Vic and even if he did Vic is with I.C.E. now and Ronnie would face even more jail time if Vic didn't just kill him outright. No one can touch Vic.
@GULLYGUS15 Did you ever WATCH the show? Ronnie has the balls, but he also has the brains. Hes not going to confront Vic directly, hes going to show up at Coryns house, and give her this really sad story about what Vic did to him. Shes gonna feel so sorry for Ronnie, and shes all alone in a new town, so Ronnie and her get it on. Afterwards, Vic is going to get a phone call from Ronnie, and they are going to discuss the taste of sweet butter. Ronnie knows exactly how to hurt Vic.
@Sodiumreactor That is a really good theroy I can totally see where you're going with that as Vic banged the IA guys wife and told him the sweet butter line. Of course I watched the show I own every season on DVD as well. The problem with your theroy is that Vic's wife is in the wittness protection program and Ronnie could never find her.
@GULLYGUS15 Remember the episode where the department IT tech couldnt fix the computer at the Farm? Ronnie jumped on it and had it working in minutes. He is the most technologically competent member of the Strike Team. He can find out where she is. Thats the beauty of it, he finds her, bangs her, and then brags to Vic. Meanwhile, Vic doesnt even know where she is! Plus his boss, the blonde ICE girl, doesnt give Vic anything but one of those ICY cold stares when he wants info on Coryn!
@Sodiumreactor I like your mind. You seem to know as much about the show as I do. We should write a sequel and work together on the plot. I bet Chicklis would jump at the chance to leave the ICE desk behind and become a hitman for hire or something. We could have him take out all his old buddies starting with Ronnie then moving on to Dutch and work his way to his arch rival Assavada. Who by this time is mayor. Great vid! Since S7 will be the last I forced myself to watch 5 & now I'm halfway through S6. I was SO bitter over Lem it took alot to watch S5 for me. That's the Season Ronnie really started to SHINE for me. Best show ALL seasons have ROCKED!
I haven't been able to watch the whole season again since it aired! I watched bits and pieces as I made my videos, but not the whole thing... Yeah I'm sorry Lem had to go but I'm SO happy they had Ronnie step up! Such an awesome character!

I'm completely with you on that! I was so desperately hoping he'd walk away from it all, and be the good cop he would have been if he never met Vic.

Poor Ronnie. He was just a background character for so long, then finally moved up in command and now faces life in prison!?

Ronnie was awesome in S6. "Hey You want to pick me up so We can clean up Hiatt's mess?" Hiatt. Hello. and Goodbye wanna be!

I was sort of disappointed by that response... the fact he would have willing to participate in Terry's murder? Not an attractive quality.

he was willing to do everything to save his friends... even cover up a murder. he understood terry was a rat, nothing else.

Ronnie is one cool cat - "You don't dry clean oriental rugs!"... Sums it all up. Classic
