I would say it is far superior! "Humans are superior!" This show stands the test of time. It could take place today because it is not dated the sets, extras and stories do not give a date stamp to it, you can not watch it and say it's a 50's show, 80's show nor a 2016's show. No one has dared to attempt this concept again and that say something right there.
i freaking love this series, personally i think its far superior to any star treck series, i know it has its influences... but it was a mass fuck up too the person who decided to cancel this series, depriving everyone of more tv excellence. There has not been anything with such depth and enjoyment value since.

I wouldn't say it's superior to the Star Trek shows but it's up there with them. :) I love Farscape too.

damn, I will always remember how frelling cute Crichton's confused and freaked out expression is...
a little bit sad he lost it in the last seasons, though his "serious action man" look he developped then is still quite interesting
this show was pure gold and we real sci-fi fan miss it so much for that it was so fun, mature, thrilling and emotionnal
