I find it interesting that Gabriel's chest plate has the same carving/signet that appears in what looks like the entrance to a boss room. It also bears resemblance to the item he holds out to the villager. I'm getting the impression that he and Dracula may be part of the same order......and Dracula is using him to get this mask. If he's not a Belmont, then you'd have to imply that he's somehow fighting the Belmont's cause somehow. Otherwise, the antagonist at the end wouldn't bother taunting Gabriel by telling him he's going to wipe the name from the face of the Earth. I'm going with the simpler explanation: Gabriel is a Belmont.

Seems that way. It doesn't look like Mercurysteam is pulling any punches with this game. I wouldn't be surprised to see it nab an M rating. I just don't know if Konami will allow it. But for sure, there's lots of blood going on in many of those attacks.

I love the castlevania series, but i just cant seem to break away from the original side scrollers. SOTN was the best in the series to me. I'll still give this one a go though, story looks compelling =)

I love the castlevania series, but i just cant seem to break away from the original side scrollers. SOTN was the best in the series to me. I'll still give this one a go though, story looks compelling =)

No offence to whoever likes this game but the gameplay looks like they put together final fantasy and god of war into a good lookin game. It even uses the camera in god of war when he fights LOL. well hope it is a good game or kojima gets its ass kiked by Final fantasy and god of war LOL jks.

Wow. That was incredible. I really hope it turns out well. I know it's from Kojima, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be a blockbuster. Then again, he has never disappointed before.

omg this looks really good. the art style is amazing that they have in this trailer, and the fighting looks fluid and exciting. also the music and voice work so far are so far better than the average game its astounding.

This looks a lot like god of war. I would probably bash it but knowing its hideo kojima well what has he done that hasnt been short of epic.
