I disagree that it is a black and white case of racism (pun intended). The issue of race is secondary to the simple fact America is not tied to Rwanda. I agree with your point that the US could have done a lot more. I disagree that is about race because I think there are whole countries involved, and if you want an example think of the poor white farmers killed just because they are farming in Zimbabwe. The music is what's obviously cheesy here, not the children suffering. And how could you call this video educational? It does not, in any way, attempt to give intelligent information. Instead, it uses this personal, traumatic imagery for SHOCK VALUE. Perhaps some of these children would prefer not to be seen suffering. There are more intelligent and appropriate ways of getting this issue across. This is the difference between a cheap slideshow and a good documentary.
