Hey im considering buying the same keyboard. Any recommendations?
and the dumb question is, will I need seperate speakers or is it all built in? I dont understand too much about the whole microkorg synth, computer stuff.
I use to have a 76 ctk3000 casio. which I sold for the obvious reason. I want something a little more pro now
They're aren't built in speakers so you will need headphones/monitors. I'm not sure what you're getting at re: microkorg but hopefully I've responded to part of your query.
@nitrousninja1 Oh btw to answer yr q re: recommendations? Have you checked out the Roland Gaia (or M-Audio Venom, for that matter)? If you're wanting something that's easy to program then you'd be a lot better off with one of those. The editor in the Juno Di isn't the best... you'd probably find other Junos like the 106 easier to program... if yr wanting nice presets like piano or strings then the Juno Di probably has something for you. If you want to make innovative sounds then I'd pass on it.
@TheElectrish you pretty much deciphered my stupid question. i know nothing about what is what in the "keys" worlds. workstations, keyboards, synth's. Like whats really the difference with them all
@nitrousninja1 Sorry about my appalling use of "they're" eek. A workstation tends to have several synthesis components used for different areas of production - like a physical DAW rather than a virtual/digital one on a screen. Keyboards may be midi controllers (m-audio axiom), synths (casio ca-301), or programmable synths (nord lead 2x). A synthesiser may have keys or it could be a rack that you use a midi controller to play (like the nord rack 2x). I hope that helps :)
How do I get a Hammond B3 sound from the Juno? Do I buy a patch? And if so, where and how? Or is it built in to the Juno? I haven't been able to find it yet.
Thanks for your help. Also, what is the User's group site?
@TakeshiMoriwaki well mayb u kan help me out....im a producer...i produce mainly for hip hop artists....n im going to invest in a synthesizer soon....im interested in da access virus....but i prolly wont get it for a while but i wanna get sumtin between 300-800 2 start me off....i want prettymuch full control of the sound....like i wanna be able 2 tweak it 95% or full control if possible....im tryna get more of a dark heavy sound with the synth so would u reccomend any model...roland? korg? etc?
i have my juno di... newly bought by my dad... my problem is... wen im in my gig.. playing string for my intro den imediately change my patch into piano... the string cuts his sound imediately when i press the piano category... even i step on my hold pedal... huhuhu how is this??? plz help me...

Is there a glide function? I've seen other synthesizers with glides, and I really like it. It kind of gives it a really organic but futuristic feel. Very sleek, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me. :)
Can you make a tutorial on how to create the Vangelis-Bladerunner style sound? I found it to be shockingly resembling to the original, sounds almost analogue:)
does the di i have LFO? i know the roland juno d does. but im not sure if im missing something or if its just not there. and what about the d beam? does it have settings for it, like volume, or ressance, crap like that? thanks
i'd like to hear just how many synth leads come preset in it, think you can show those? i'm tired of having two epic lead synths and 800 various intstruments that i don't need a synthesizer to play.
I'll take the one underneath it any day of the week. Roland seem to be going backwards and trying to be a jack of all trades. Stick to one model having its own IDENTITY like the good old days of Jupiters, JX3P, JX8p, Juno 106, Juno 6, SH101, TR808/909/707, XV1080, JD800,Roland D50. This just sounds like an X Factor entrant, all hype and no talent and sounds just like the last one.
@maccagrabme you dont understand why roland produces instruments like the juno di. its perfect for liveperformence. its easy and fast to handle. you got 1000 sounds from the phantom-series. weight is only 10 pounds and it only costs 700 $
No doubt there is an audience for the new all singing all dancing keyboards of today but to be honest you could use pretty much any keyboard made in the last 10 yrs for live use. What i'd love to see from Roland is a return to the REAL deal of analog instead of imitations. I can get all of these sounds from a laptop so I expect hardware manufacturers to be one step ahead of software. If you are going to use the Juno name then it should live up to it.
@maccagrabme I can see where your coming from, but the "Juno Name" was simply the name roland gave to budget synthesisers of the time. Back in the day of the 106/60 etc the much more expensive Jupiters were out, the Juno's were basically cut down Jupiters and that has held ever since, the Juno's give a little bit of high end for those who dont want to or cant dish out the £2000 needed for the model its borrowing from.
i knpw how to save sounds on favourites! but when i try to save sounds with the split option activated, it doesn't work!! is there any way to save in favourites two diferent sounds in split form?
You are the one who convinced me I have to buy this stuff.. not the Company demo, Mate! ^^ Please, do tell me, --> Is it possible to load ones own wavetable samples to start editing? Or you are forced to use the factory ones only??
Man! My only synth is crap, lol. But i'm getting a modded analogue tomorrow which i actually found on the scrapyard. I took it to a friend that helped me repair it. It's an odd one, though.
It's a Roland JD-800 (if you look closely you can even read the label on the left side of the panel). A DX-7 looks totally different. There are a lot of DX-7 videos here on YouTube. Check them out.

Please register after doing save to the program when registering in the favorite.
It is easy to do the use of the personal computer.
I also have the thing that the program cannot be save well. It might possibly be a bug.
Anyway, I will recommend PC to be used.

I am neither an employee of Roland nor a clerk in the musical instrument shop.
This sound was made by "JUNO-Di editor" of the personal computer oneself.
Factory preset is not used at all.
A very good sound can be made by "JUNO-Di Editor".
