The silver solution and reducing agent have to be made batch by batch, with a very short shelf life. Depends on the mixture. His recipe needs heat for the silver to precipitate properly, and it seems like his solution is in a rather large batch, but then again, he does this wholesale. I have used a formula that does not require heat, but works for only one hour and that's it! So you make enough for a couple of dozen ornaments. It all depends....

nice finish! is it posible to reuse the silver "stain"? does it not have to be brought up in temp to set the mirror?
