  • fuck those dumb ass protestors

  • I didn't see the police bothering those behaving themselves.

  • The Denver Police were doing as told. IMO those protestors were disorderly and the police were trying to contain them. It would've probably been worse if the wilder ones got loose from that area and decided to do something most people would regret.

  • the police are using illegal methods to contain crowds,

they are fencing them in, called kettling which cannot be done in western democracies, it is illegal in britain, and with large numbers like this is not good for health and saftey

  • Liberals are so fucking stupid.

  • drumline103: I think that's an invalid point. This is the DNC, most of these people are not necessarily supportive of Democrats OR Republicans, moreover they appear to be displeased with the 2 party political system. While a few are surely anarchists, it is inaccurate to label the whole crowd as such or otherwise.

  • And we all live in a fascist nation......

  • @drumline103 dude, stop labelling people. I'm fucking fed up of seeing 'you liberals this' and 'you conservatives that'. It's fucking pathetic. Each person is different when it comes to ideal.

  • Colfax! But sriously, Denver police are the worst. Corrupt, pigheaded, and racist. I was smokin weed and drinkin 40s once and the cops confiscated the shit and didnt write it up, probably to smoke the weed. This guy who made this video is a B I T C H. Fucking laying down for these motherfuckers. Hey Hal, if you stay quiet while while they quash the freedoms of everyone else, there will be nobody left to fight the good fight when YOUR liberties are being flushed down the drain.

  • I am very worried about the quashing of my civil liberties (Patriot Act was and is the worst piece of legislation ever, but that is another debate). Understand I was there as an observer, not a protestor. I was there to record the events so that others would have a record of said events... that was my involvement. I find ways other ways then painting a figurative target on my chest to try and change things. There's a reason that MLK achieved a lot more than Malcolm X.

  • Actually both their contributions were incalcuble, MLK is better remembered, as all peaceful protesters are. Hes a personal hero of mine. However, had Malcolm X not been taken advantage of by the Nation of Islam, there is no telling what he could have done. Many would argue that X's contributions were greater... but thats a futile argument to make. The point is that painting a target on your chest is one of the best ways to shake up the government.

  • Excellent point, I tip my hat to you. The issue for me is that it seemed most of the protesters were just there to protest for general purposes... not for any specific reason, or not one that I heard. I mainly heard the riot police being taunted, cursed at and being called cowards. There was one guy though that stood by himself at the forefront flashing double peace signs. That was eloquent. There just seemed to be no purpose to the protest that was happening.

  • MLK achieve more than Malcolm X?The truth is they write the history and over a generation or two Noone knows what really happened unless they read history. The truth is Malcolm strived for REAL change.Like a sovereign country. MLK wanted integration with the oppressor.Compare Malcolms tombstone and to MLK's.MLK gets a day and Malcolm isnt mentioned.Dont believe the hype! The establishment would much rather us turn the other cheek then be by any means necessary

  • We just didn't have the proper tools to break out this time.

  • people need to pull what the police pull. Just everyone stand facing them with a huge barricade of cars behind you.

  • Police lines are really easy to break because despite appearances, they are very disorganized and have to wait for orders to practically do anything.

  • u can't ! they don't listen

it's almost time for a revolution brothers

  • If the protest was peaceful then the police would not have been there. May other peaceful protests went on that week and the police were close but not involoved. This may have started peaceful but a few of these idiots were out to destroy stuff. That is why the police were called in.

  • Why not arrest the "few idiots" rather than attack the peaceful citizenry? And where were the idiots being violent as the police were attacking American citizens? Protect and serve or intimidate and imprison?

    search4beauty.blogspot

  • how was anyone wearing blue supposed to seperate the good apples from the bad. i could see alot of citizens wearing bandanas. i wonder why if it was a peacfull protest. i do agree that the politicians are all self serving and that we as americans do not matter to them anymore except to keep theem in power. i put this question out to everyone. what do we do about removing those in congress and the white house that doesnt involve violence?

  • Maybe they were wearing bandannas to make a statement, plus last time i checked it is our right as citizens to assemble and say whatever we want. This however is the fascist government coming down on everyone. Where will it stop?

  • Uh yeah, because unlike the other idiots at the convention, we didn't ask the governments permission to criticize the government.

  • I was wondering why the Police didnt break out the 37mm Gas Gun, and start lobbing tear gas canisters into the group. Here in Las Vegas, the police dont put up with stupid people who try to push around cops and think its their right to stand in the street and obstruct others.

  • this is exactly how they round people up if the FEMA camp thing is true...

  • The police can get away with anything nowadays. Were slowly but surely becoming a police state. And thats how the politicians and the people pulling their strings want it.

  • did you see the riot?

they smashed windows and threw rocks and set peoples dumpsters on fire many police were physically attacked. They were acting very violently prior to when the riot squads were called. If I lived there I would hope the riot police would contain the crowd of protesters. It takes just a few bad apples to ruin the bunch

You can protest, but don't let people cause damage to people's property and hurt people or the police will have to act

I pay taxes for the police to protect me.

  • The police instigated it by trying to police a perfectly legal action.

  • were you there? if not how do you know what went on

  • i think that's quite a grand assumption to make that, were the police not present, the crowd would have remained 100% nonviolent.

nobody tried to stop them from protesting.

  • Excuse me? I was there. I was in that march, and I have to say that the police did their best to keep me from protesting when they starting beating me with a club.

  • the only time i saw the police taking the offensive was when someone's window was being smashed, and apparently someone had lit someone's dumpster on fire.

if you were among those who were destroying property or were openly confrontational then you should expect they would take aggressive action, that is their job and that is what i pay them to do with my tax dollars.

if you were among those being violent, than you were not part of the protest because violence had nothing to do with our message.

  • Maybe we were at a different protest, because what happened to me could be described totally differently.

  • i think the peace sign means police go the fuck away

  • What I want to know is what gives riot police the right to physically push you back? It's one thing to stand there as a blockade, but once they start pushing around a peaceful demonstrator, it becomes assault.

  • sieg heil

  • R.A.P.T.O.R Force! Join the fight!

  • I was hoping to see a stick get pushed in someones ass. Oh well..its only Wednesday night. There is still time.

  • and police weh abuse dem authority...

a peaceful protest ruined by the 5oh.

today was even crazier after the rage concert...

  • Pigs Gone Wild!

  • The problem with non-violence, is the fact that the violent, will always win.

  • What is happening to america?

Its time we step up an kick the government out an start over

  • This is what democracy looks like....

  • Democracy is a farce and always has been.

  • What do you prefer?

  • I'll give you a hint: it starts with the letter (A).

  • I love the fact that cameras were held by people EVERYWHERE. this is the footage that the media will not air, and this is exactly what people need to see.

  • I thought we were free in this country? guess not. I guess freedom of speech is only for those who agree with those in power. oh well time to burn down the whitehouse and congress. they are no longer usefull

  • dang that pig was about to club you til he saw the camera, wow that's some power, right on!
