I heard this piece when I was 17 in 1968 @ Washington Univ. in St Louis, Missouri during his Sacred Music Concerts that he presented in his last years. I took some of my first photos of him at the piano rehearsing in the afternoon and that evening performing.
Soul Call!! My favorite jazz albun of all times.

I had the old "Soul Call: album this is one of my all time Ellington faves, though it's somewhat obscure.

Likewise! I first heard this piece on the "Soul Call" cd and loved it. Another favorite is "West Indian Pancake".
