  • Thats hit bitches.

  • @bulkteen, how about you learn how to spell dorian's fuckin name.

  • Comment removed

  • i want to trian with dorien yetas i dont want i have to

  • Sanctu. Dorian. La la la la.

  • second most hardcore bodybuilder in my oppinion... branch warren is the most hardcore though!!

  • "alright, that's a set." hahahahaha dorian just doesn't give a flying fuck

  • @famousily16 I think actually he is pretty caring...by way of getting the most out of you. This is some form of compassion even...he won't let you fail yourself.

  • What I like about his method is it also works for asthmatic people like me. My asthma attacks are more tolerable now than before.

  • Dorian Yates is a fucking machine!

    Total respect for the man

  • Temple Gym is a mecca!

  • shows you brits really are tougher than americans its understandable they have tougher bodies since there isnt a gun shop on every corner

  • @clikclik1 Wow what an educated comment. You really did a great job reflecting Brits with that one!

  • @Silvurado its called a joke u simple asshole

  • @clikclik1 lol

  • @clikclik1 also steroids are legal there... hahaha. jk dont re post hate speech. Dorian is number 1 baby! Hes my idol.

  • @clikclik1 this is true, but dorian is probabaly one of the most ruthless people... ever haha

  • @clikclik1 Have You Been Shot Before? I Fckn Doubt It

Lets See how Tough you are when Someone Pulls a Nine next time u come thru to america

  • @clikclik1 is that why the british lost the war?

  • @fuckyeah009 They lost the war because of the bloody french who got in their way...

  • @enricozampini yea.. funny how the world superpower at the time couldn't take a few battles with the french and a bunch of farmers.

  • @clikclik1 i think thats relative. as far as bodybuilding goes, dorian is def the most hardcore of all time. But im studying in the uk and not all gyms are like temple gym. just like america has metroflex and westside barbell, each country has their scene of hardcore gyms.

  • "less weight , lets get a fucking two this time" classic

  • thats a set

  • Dorian will tear the fuck out of your muscles. Fact.

  • @BoxFreshNikes just like he tore his!

  • When I used to do bodybuilding style training, Dorian's type of H.I.T gave me the best size and strength gains.

  • True heavy duty training. Dorian is awsum. Dugdale has great potential in the 202. Enough said.

  • Dorian is the best bodybuilder ever!

  • man i would love dorian to be my trainer

  • Dorian is the best bodybuilder of all time. He didnt fuck around and try to be pretty in the gym.

  • "Guess the English weights are alot heavier than the American ones, heheheh" - Fucking love Dorian Yates! Haha, I'd train with him but I don't think I'd come out of there alive. I might die upon seeing his aura...

  • @babyhulk510 wtf is so hard in this training stop idolizing people with big arm

  • A typical chest day for me would be either form of bench press, (incline, decline or flat) at 3x10 at about 80% of ur max then 3x10 DB-flys 80% then 3x10 DB press at 80% then i like to round it off with a few sets of push ups if im not feeling to fatiged from the weights. Dont forget to warm the specific muscle groups up firstly. Personally i like to use really light DB's for this. Thats 12 sets mrvolax, im not burning out, unfortunatly not a genetic freak and definatly not on roids.

  • and the song is great :D

  • with all respect to this great bodybuilder but, HIT works only if you are a very experienced bodybuilder, its nothing for rookies...

  • Not true.

  • Me and my buddie are practicing HIT, and it works great. It actually would work better for a novice.

  • So cold by breaking benjamin is awesome to workout to

  • that whole video is like MM's heavy duty 1 routine with Yates tweaking the choice of exercises. rest pause is not an invention of dogcrapp even weider systems uses that. Mentzer is the man and this is proof that his promotion of HIT was true.

  • Dorain was a follower of Mike Mentzer and his HLIT approach....

  • 2 total working sets of 6 total reps with a serious spotter...now THATS FAILURE and beyond and THATS how you get BIG!!!

They dont call Dorian the "Diesel Man " for nuttin.

  • Heavy weights, low reps. Only for real men, baby. 10-12-15 reps pussies GTFO of here!

  • its not about how many reps there are. just how challenging they are.

  • Unless of course you know how to train smart. Then you would cycle through periods of high rep/low rep.

High rep for improving blood circulation in that specific muscle group.

Low rep (like in this video) to put that vascularity to good use and build size and strength efficiently.

  • '' LET'S GO ''

  • Oh yeah no doubt because Mark just got big like that with no intensity at all in his workouts. Idiot.

  • I hope Dugdale gets his glory day in the 202's but David Henry is just a fucking freak in that class.

  • Hell yes. Especially with his back.

  • briliant clip but one question, why is he wearing a belt to do incline bench?

  • why has sombody given me a thumbs down for that?

  • Dorian was the shit!

  • SOOO Motivating, didn't bother to read the comments because I'm sure all of the nasty ones are from people that have never trained serious a day in their life sitting back watching the videos with a bag of chips in one hand and a can of soda in the other. Let the haters hate, and let the truth prevail!

  • looks like dogcrapp training regimen. wow. you only grow on the negatives.

  • it could be doggcrapp im not to educated on that system of training but i do know dorian was a follwer of HIT which also focuses on negatives in a workout

  • Let's get fucking two this time

  • Dorian is a hard cunt

  • Also, keep your eyes peeled on Mark. I am betting he is going to be the guy to carry the HIT torch. Yates and Mentzer did it. So few dare to train like this. I hope Mike will take the time and effort to put his knowledge to good use and share it with others so we may learn, grow large and remain injury free.

Bless you Mark, bless your wife and your children. DRIVEN was very enjoyable to watch.

  • Him and David Henry are the modern day HIT trainer. I think it was Jan. of this year Muscle and Fitness that HIT was featured and Mark and Henry were right there promoting it.

  • Mark is a darn nice guy. He is balanced, pleasant and more of a deep thinker than you will ever know. He takes the time to answer emails. He has excellent technique. And he and his wife keep it all in perspective with a balanced family life.

I cannot believe the nasty things you morons come up with to say. I dare any of you to try HIT training with me. I give you 2 sessions and you'll be crying for mommy if you can manage to do it right.

  • People, try to have some respect here. This is Mark Dugdale's wife putting these videos up for you to bitch and complain at. Mark busts his ass 1000 times harder than any of you could every know..harder than I could ever know and he is one of the nicest guys ever (if you have the chance to meet him). Don't bash what you don't know.

  • i agree. mark is the man. these people have to respect just wanabes.

  • here's to mrhighintensity... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...NO ONE GIVES A SHIT MR, GO RUN INTO AN AIDS TREE MR, BOOOOOOOOO

  • the hardest gym ever, pure free weights only, the old skool way.

    dont fuck with Dorian.

  • プッシュがマイブームだわ

  • these english weights are heavier than the american ones.. hahahaha

    legend all the way dorian.

  • mark dugdale rocks -- has anyone seen this video in its entirety? i'm thinking about getting it

  • mrhighintensity .... your a fucking asshole boy.

  • Dorian is off the juice and still a monster! Hes the reason I started working out!

  • Looks like a form of RESTPAUSE training originally created by the legendary Mike Mentzer, mine as well as Dorian's mentor - awesome video! - MR

  • no, it wasnt created by mike.

mike was never dorian's mentor. its true dorian was influenced by some of the high intensity stuff mike wrote about but he was never dorian's mentor. dorian did a few workouts (2-3) with mike in the early 90's but mike didnt teach dorian anything new at those workouts. dorian helped mike get some publicity as mike had had some rough times and was trying to get back into the bodybuilding business.

  • You do not know what your talking about. I was there myself when Mike trained Dorian and have seen Dorians progress after Mike gave him tips on how to make his training even more effective after reducing his volume even more. Mike did have rough times but those were over long before Dorian stepped in the picture. Get your facts straight before you run your mouth here. MR

  • why are you lying? mentzer was never dorians mentor or trainer...why dont you ask dorian? are you calling dorian a liar? mentzer did give dorian some tips but he never went to the extremes that mike recommended..and dorian was already on his way to downshifting his volume further BEFORE he ever met mike in real life. (from 2 to 1 working set per exercise in the early 90s)

mentzer thoughts influenced dorian yates , but dorian was always his own man.

    email him and ask.

  • Mike had a pretty big role in the influence of Dorians training...wether you wanna call it being his mentor or not who cares - MM is still one of the biggest influences in brining HIT to maintstream bodybuilders all over the world including me - so whats your beef with that? - btw..you got a body to back up your mouth? - I do...232lbs of solid muscle at a 5'10 frame ...now go eat shit you dumb ass! - MR

  • ''go eat shit you dumb ass''?. classy language. is that what your gonna say to dorian when he confirms what i said? do you think i just pulled it out of my ass? what i wrote is what dorian himself said to me at a seminar , and he has said it in other interviews too.

why are you so angry? and what does my body have to do with any of this. great logic.

some of mike ideas certainly influenced dorian's training, i never disputed that. but mike was never dorians trainer or any such thing.

  • "232lbs of solid muscle at a 5'10 frame"

someone has a fragile ego dont they? bragging on youtube? fucking pathetic. no one cares, and chances are your lying anyways, its not hard to tell, say what you want on youtube cant you? fuck off. MR

  • for eveytime an asshole like you talks smack..i get a member on my site or sell a online consultation - keep talking buddy..i fucking love it! this youtiube channel on hell of a boost! - i can say wht i want and what is right..i got a video and body to back up my mouth..what do u have?,,lmao

  • no one fucking cares

  • Real nice. Been a dick all you're life or taking lessons? Too bad a great physique doesn't mean intelligence. You ask what do we have? We're having you're Momma that's what. Douche.

  • Signing off each post with "MR". LOL, what a tool!

  • MR are my initials you idiot - befor your call me a tool put up a Video, till then shut ur mouth cunt - MR (Markus Reinhardt - Pro Bodybuilder and HIT Specialist for you mofo!)

  • Markus Reinhardt? LOL, you sound like some slack wristed german batty boy, fuck off back to Munich on whatever bananna boat you come over on you angry little kraut imigrant nazi slag. BL :)

  • For a guy that favors fake ass wrestle videos you got quiet a big mouth - yep..I am german all the way! - I live in fucking Las Vegas and loving it! - how about you ?..some trailor park? - LMAO - MR

  • Looks like you got nothing else to do then to post negative remarks and fuck your sister...why dont you stick to banging your sis and stay off this channel fuckface? - MR

  • Speculative conjecture and bullshit yadda you german slag. Your just a shallow nesbit who chats shit. MR knobhead, Fuck off to your cesspit you bottom feeding pondlife blirt.

  • dorian yates got it from mike mentzer the original HIT trainer

  • One: Mike Mentzer was NOT the original HIT trainer. Arthur Jones was.

Two: Dorian uses a higher volume than Mentzer.

  • no...it depends on what menzter routine your talking about. you guys dont seem to understand that people actually change things. in the early 80s when mike was still training seriously his workout volume was approx the same as dorians or slightly higher. after mentzer retired his thinking became more and more extreme..and in his latest works his recommended training volume was lower than what dorian did. personally i would stay away from the insane routines mike recommended in his latest works.

  • Insane routines? WTF!!!! Type in Mike mentzer interview and click on the one where he is wearing the brown top with, i think, franco in the background. Read my comments and if needed, re-read them. The latest stuf was pretty similar to what ray mentzer was doing when i saw him in seminar in 85. Ray was the true HIT king, not Mike. The guy ended up doing total body in ten fukkin sets and was fukkn huge. Wiv ronniz genetix, he wud a bin 400lbs wiv Rays HIT routine.

  • sorry thomasmichael..not sure what your talking about (refering too)? i do know mentzer actually recommended some decent stuff in the 80s in regards to volume but when he came back after his crazy period his recommendations where stupid.

some HIT routines are good, many are not. that being said alot of the HIT-propaganda has been disproven not to be the most efficient way to workout. that doesnt mean that 20 sets per muscle group is the answer either...in reality there is a happy medium.

  • mentzers early stuff, with hinsite was on the right lines but he clearly didnt graspthe whole intensity/recuperation equation. For example,he said do two cycles of the leg ext/leg press combo. WTF!!He also said train mon n tue, then thur n fri. He also was into forced reps n negatives. The intensity idea is fine but the recuperation side?WTF again!! All intensity has to be compensated for and training two days in a row is simply for the 'drug boys'. Now to your other points..

  • the only hit routine that is bad is the one that ignores the total body recuperation aspect and the fact that recuperation time is a personalthing. Some people can leave it three days whilst others need a week. Everyone must look toget the maximum out of the minimum amount of training. Two sets of the same exercise is only for the most brainless dildos possible. 2-3 sets MAX per bodypart. If u cant do this, closely examine ur trainin style/intensity. The prob wil b there!

  • no, you are being too extreme. what you write is nonsense. limiting yourself to only 2-3 sets per body part is not the best way to go for anyone who isnt a total newbie. science has showed this many times, and 'practical' knowledge has shown the same thing. sure you can grow on 2-3 sets but it wont be optimal at all. there is no need to limit yourself like that. 2 sets or more per exercise doesnt have to be a bad thing at all. please stop this this almost religious bs.

  • Heres a challenge. I will logically and rationally argue my case, and i want you to do the same. Here goes. Why do two sets? Do you stand a light switch a keep pressing it when the light is already on? Some bodyparts are so big eg. back that it takes maybe three exercises to cover it, but doing another all out set is fuking nonsense, usually spouted by people who have no idea what true intensity is. Ok, ill meet you half way. You can either do three sets of different exercises or three ..TBC

  • why do more than one set? because there is a volume component to growth. and when i say volume component im not talking about 20 sets per body part. if you look at research doing more than one set per body part has been clearly demonstrated as superior for growth/strength several times. for example you can look at the wernbom metarview =40-60 reps per muscle group working a muscle twice a week showed best growth on average. using a rep range of 5-12 reps...40-60 reps is about 4-8 sets.

  • sets of one exercise. Personally i would feel i was holding back and psychologically moving on to a different exercise is good. Why do you do two sets per ex? Why stop there? What is your rationale behind such bs? or is it just arbitary? Why not do 2,000? If that is bad, doing less must therefore be better, so take it down to the point where you stimulate growth with the absolute minimum. There are times when i plan to do legs and after a set of leg presses im spent and have nothing left...

  • further: you dont need to do all out sets to grow. stopping a set one rep before failure will stimulate growth just fine and will let you do more sets (and more sets doesnt meen endless 20 set per body part workouts). going all out all the time will just burn you out mentally and physically. some people will tolerate more failure training than others, but going to failure isn't a must to grow. and in many cases its best to avoid total failure.

  • then you need to wake the fuck up man and get your arse in gear! 1 set for legs is ridiculous

  • so the workout for legs consists of just one set, no calves or hamstrings. Let me compare the whole training thing to knocking down a wall and building another. Rather than take endless little taps at the wall which will eventually tire you out and leave the wall intact, take a massive swing and knock it down with one (effective) blow. This does not mean do one rep in your set though! If you then keep pounding the rubble, you will be too exhausted to clear it away (or recover) and you can forget

  • your analogies are incorrect and you can't apply logic to the human body in the way you are trying to do. i have read mike mentzers texts so please dont copy his incorrect analogies. i have heard them all before (you are copy and pasting). doing one set per body part isn't optimal.

you sound like some kind of religious fanatic. making up analogies doesnt change the fact that the human body doesnt care about your logic. i would advice you to do some actual reserach on the matter.

  • growth because you are too exhausted to build the new wall.. This is why you should always do the minimum and look to train harder whilst paying equal attention to your recovery time and doing whatever it takes for you (one day to 365 if need). All that matters is making progress and not doing anything unessessary. Hard training is brutal and this is why so many look for excuses to avoid it. Volume will never make upfor it because it reduces your chances of intensity. So..not quite religious bs!

  • please dont lecture me about hard training. i been working out for years and i know what hard training is. and like i said i seen your kind before: the exact same religious tone and flawed analogies.

muscle growth is primarily driven by increases in muscle tension (lifting more weight) and science and 'real world' results have clearly shown that one set per body part isnt optimal for strengh nor growth. my advice to you is to seek the middle road and stop thinking in extremes.educate yourself

  • 2-3 sets per body part? are u off ur bloody rocker mate? lol what about legs? back? surely you would agree big muscle groups need a liiiittle more than 2/3 sets.

  • @kev2688 I can't quite judge wether you are off yours because you have not said how many sets you do for these bodyparts. Anyhow, let me enlighten you. Lets take back. Warm up and then do an isolation exercise eg pullovers or straight arm pulldown then go right into your pulldown movement. For width choose a rowing movement. Take the set to failure in ultra strict form (momentum is an outside force that does the work instead of the muscle!) and move on to your next exercise.

  • @kev2688 sorry, i meant to say 'for thickness choos a rowing movement' and go home or onto another bodypart eg. bicep.

  • This is HIT that Yates advocate

    very different from HVT

  • not if you can take a single set to the extreme like Dorian did... and what the fuck is a rocker, anyway? bloody rocker??

  • Dorian didnt do 2/3 sets per body part. If you ever read his columns in muscular development (or watch blood and guts for fucks sake) you'll see he in fact did quite a bit more. and "off your rocker" is a colloquial term for "Are you insane?

  • @kev2688 Not you again!!! I see why mentzer went off his rocker, trying to get basic rational common sense (VERY uncommon in bodybuilding!) through to people like you. Dorian does more sets, although only ONE, I repeat ONE set of each ex., because as a pro,he cannot have even the slightest part undeveloped/weaker. personally i want to build as much size with as little training as possible. Trust me it can be done but not by weak willed pussies, they cop out with more, less intense sets..evritime

  • @kev2688 In blood and guts he did 3-4 maximal sets per bodypart depending on which group he did.

  • @SR4LosersIsMYBITCH

yeah, 3/4 working sets, but he always did 1 or 2 warm up sets first?

he says himself, perform 1 warm up with 50% intensity, a 2nd warmup with 70%, then go 100% intensity for your working set. he does this with every excercise (although, granted he sometimes skips the warmups 2 excercises in, being already warmed up)

  • @kev2688 Yeah.. first exercise he would do 2-3 (at least with Chest he said), but once he got to his last exercise I think he said he would just go into it because he was warmed up by that time. Correct? I love his style of training. Defiantely works once you have a solid base physique/strength to work with...

  • @SR4LosersIsMYBITCH yeah certainly man, i love it. started it once i trained the usual way for about 3 years, great results

  • @kev2688 I actually have been continually cutting down my sets (finally at one all out set for each exercise). Its funny because I used to use pyramids rep schemes when I first started 5 years back, but I never knew about intensity and pushing it past failure at the time. Good shit.

  • @kev2688

depends on your work intensity. when some one firsts trains, they can never work hard and heavy enough to justify 3 sets for chest, but an experienced body builder can.

if you work at max intensity, including exhausting your static and negative strength and you haven't stimulated growth, then you're doing some thing wrong.

  • here's an example routine for chest.

-flat bench press: 1 set 6-8 reps no negatives (pretty risky on bench)

-incline cable flys: 1 set 8-10 reps hold at fully contracted pos for 5 seconds at end of set and lower as slow as posible

-without rest go to dips: max reps with body weight (or add weight if you're own weight allows you to) once you can't get the weight up, jump to the top and do one long negative.

  • if you haven't stimulated growth by then, some thing is wrong. the ol school 12+ sets is good for 3 types of people.

    1: genetic freaks

    2: steroid users

3: people who want to burn out and gain no muscle

    happy training.

  • @mrvolax i'm from Poland and I train that same way

massive weights 9 sets for chest and back 6 for shoulders 3 for biceps/triceps but very massive weigts legs 12 but you know sqat leg extension stiff legs deadlift

i train 6 times on and 3 off 3.5 gram of proteins per 1 kg bodyweight

  • @mrvolax don't talk crap .. 12+ sets only work for genetic freaks or steroid users? you don't seem to know something about lifting weights ..

  • @kev2688 nope not at all. If you do a lot of warm up sets with no muscle fatigue and then do 3 extreme kickass sets to failure then thats all a big body part like your legs need.

  • @kev2688 Lift heavy, fewer sets. I guess you're a "Let's do 12 reps" guy yeah?

  • @BoxFreshNikes No, 6-8

  • top tune in the back round breakin benjamin-so cold

  • whats a bloke???

  • i want to watch this DVD...

  • Good ol' DoggCrap training.

  • For y'all that don't know, dogcrap training is what you're seein'. It's another name for rest pause training. If you don't know, then you don't really know BB.

  • no its not. rest pause training is a big part of doggcrapp training, but its wrong to say that rest pause =doggcrapp.

  • this is not doggcrapp training.

  • DoggCrapp uses much higher volume than HIT

  • nope. and there are various HIT-routines, some use slightly higher volume than DC, some lower than DC.

  • There is HVHT, which is High Volume High Intensity, like Ronnie Coleman, but that is different.

Arthur Jones' guidelines for HIT were a full body workout, with no more than twelve total exercises, three times a week. That's true HIT.

That's also why Mentzer called his system Heavy Duty and not HIT, because he thought 3 times a week was too much and changed it. He knew it would be wrong to keep calling it HIT if he changed it.

  • lol..your mixing things up. menzter had heavy duty routines (his ideas evolved..and become more and more extreme) where you worked out 3 days a week..and even 4 days a week...but as i said he became more and more extreme and reduced the workout frequency even more.

  • cool to see that dorian is still pretty jacked.

  • I have to say i disagree with guitarplayer7514, this dvd is fuckin awsome. It doesnt show you the entire workouts like blood and guts did but it shows you everything you need to know. Also Dorian explains the reasons for all the workouts and the way he is doin them which i havent actually heard him do before. It shows how much of a cool guy Dorian is too as he interacts with Mark and his wife. Great dvd, he kicks Marks ass!

  • English weights are heavier than the American ones haha good lad Dorian.

  • Rest pause is king!

  • It is fantastic

  • I just purchased this DVD and must say that it is one of the worst training videos that I have watched so far ! The editing is terrible. There are too many cuts, sometimes as often as one per second. You don't even get to see Mark complete one full set of an exercise before the camera cuts away to some meaningless shot of Dorian. There is no posing of any sort on the entire disk.ase. I will be listing this one on Ebay !

  • Dorian trained using the H.I.T style of weight training in which you do one to two sets with as much weight as you can taking short breathing pauses in between.

Targeting one muscle group, this can take about 30-45 mins in the gym because of the short duration of sets and time in between.

Yates even said he spent about 3 1/2 hours in the gym weekly during the olympia while his competitors spent that much time daily.

  • i guess you only grow on the negative. That is balls to the wall pause reps.

  • Nope. The negative can provide a large percentage of damage to the muscle being worked yes, but so can the positive.

You grow from causing damage to the muscle, the muscle doesn't know any difference. It doesn't think 'Christ, slow negatives, better grow'.

  • Yates, what a fuckin guy.

  • Oh, I see that is why Dorian Yates trained that way and was Mr. O, how many times? Different strokes for different folks.

  • that is bloody great

  • Cool. Both are great bodybuilders. I love the documentary style to this, as opposed to how most videos on this sport are presented.

  • Yeah you wont see Dorian in any nancy vids.

  • class

  • i just saw mark 4 days ago..my god he is so freaken big...i know its off season but damn huge.....that training with dorian paid off...

  • where can i buy the dvd from?

  • A real HIT training!A great combination of rest pause and descending training systems.Dorian is more than a great bodybuilder, he is a milestone.Dugdale is the graet new HIT bodybuilder.GREAT COMBO:)

  • yo, that's Dorian Yates!

  • Actual hardcore training. None of the crap that we see from Kai Greene, Victor Martinez and others who just frak around, wear sunglasses and chatter away. Training as it should be. Mark Dugdale's new DVD is a must buy, if anything for motivational reasons. Anyone prepping for a show, buy this DVD and hit the gym.

Dorian Yates is the new "Jedi Master"!

  • well put! Couldn't of said it better myself what a load of shit those training dvds are the blade victor kevin.. lee preist has a good 1!

  • definetly going to buy this dvd!

  • Two great bodybuilders who show the value of high intensity training. I will definitely get this new release from Mark Dugdale and if it is directed by Joel Barham, then it is no doubt going to be a quality production like the first DVD. Thanks for posting the clips Christina!

  • Looks good. Might get this.

  • Mr.Dugdale is the man!! This video is gonna be crazy

  • I wanna train with Dorian too..

  • great clip and all motherfuckers ( who always talk about roids and so on) shut the damned fuck up!!!

  • playing with each other?..
