You have a wonderful family! Amuse those babies by doing simple exercise like skipping or jumping jacks on the spot for 5 minutes!!! And babies for some reason also enjoy being picked up and thrown up (not too high of course!) in the air! I don't know why! More exercise for you! As for running well you will get plenty of that when they start to run and crawl!!!! diet ah yes there are foods that help you burn fat. For more
So glad yo have you back! Love watching your vlogs! I'm with you on the weight thing! I'm the biggest I've ever been since having my son 10.5 months ago. Although I think you look fabulous and you've got twins, how do you do it? Don't get how we've put on weight when we're running round after babies all the time!! Good luck with the weight loss!! Maybe you don't need to reveal your weight in your vlogs just how much you've lost and how you're losing it. Keep on vlogging!! xxx
I have pcos and I am insuline resistance I don't have babies though, but I've had weight problems all my live. I have been trying the pcos diet plan by Hillary Wright and it works great for me. It's not a low carb diet and I don't find it too time consuming. It's definetely something that one can do long term to eat healthier even if you don't need to lose weight. I only control the amount and distribution of carbohydrates I eat during the day.
I go for walks with the stroller or the Ergo, I walk to Walgreens/Kohls or to the park. Or the pool. I also knit (when I can) I am an amateur photographer, too, so sometimes I do an impromptu baby photoshoot etc. Also, I bake, do chores. Oh, and I've started going to La Leche League meetings, attachment parenting meetings and cloth diaper meetings. Find meetings locally that fit with your interests!
I agree with hallf80, walking is a great start. Put the babies in a stroller and walk walk walk! Food wise, cut your portions, eat lean meats like grilled chicken, fish etc. Try not to eat carbs at night, or too many if your breast feeding. Carbs that go un burned turn into fat and tend to go right to the belly or hips. It's really hard to cut portions, but once your stomach gets accustomed to the smaller amount of food, it will be easier. Take night jogs after hubby gets home :) Good luck!!
It's hard on a limited income to join gyms or take exercise classes. I see a lot of new mothers in my neighborhood that put the kids in the stroller and walk around the track at the park or neighborhood. Check with your doc to make sure there isn't an underlying medical issue, then start your regimen. Good luck, I know you can do it!
Hey Sarah! I am so happy to see a new video of you up. I am pregnant with twins myself, boy and a girl. So watching your videos while you were pregnant have been so helpful to me. I am now on mild bedrest and I am going crazy. I am going to stay at home with our babies too. I am worried about being lonely. So thanks for being there. :) Good luck on your weight lose journey God knows its a hard one.
I am a personal trainer - weight loss is all about lifestyle change. You need to eat healthy and exercise in a way that you can maintain for the rest of your life. Others have given great suggestions for exercise! If you have any questions dont hesistate to send me a message!
Sarah!! We've missed you. I am just going to say it. We need some vlogs. Tell us all about being a mommy! I followed your ttc and pregnancy journey so long that I feel like I HAVE to know about motherhood =] glad to see you! =] and btw, you'll always look gorgeous no matter what size or shape. Miss ya! =]
Hey Lady,I completely understand how you feel about the weight. My twins are almost 6mos old, & I can already see I am beginning to gain some of my weight back.I've been eating like a pig :( .I would also love to exercise, but I have a full time job & I feel guilty whenever I do something that doesn't include the kids.I was thinking of putting them in the baby carrier and doing an exercise video like walk away the pounds or something.IDK.Oh,If you do an excercise vlog,I'd be a faithful follower
i used to run a weight loss support group and i want you to know that people don't care what your weight is, only how far you want to lose. When you tell us your weight we are not going to say OMG! I can't believe she weighs some much, after having twins. OMG! she is so big. Now I am 370 and I don't mind saying it, it don't hurt. What hurts is keeping it on and feeling bad in side and out. So own your wight by saying it, and then let it go by dropping it.
I never had twins to contend w/ but I ran a home daycare & will never 4get the time I had 5 two yr olds at the same time. Skating arena - ours had Mom's skating pushing the stroller on skates which was fab. Indoor playgrds w/ tubes - get in & crawl w/ kids thru the tunnels. Bike w/ kids in those tent trailers. Put Wiggles DVD in & get up & dance around. Crawl thru house w/ toddlers following - bark like dog, etc. Use resistence cables when sitting in recliner. kids eating - do sit ups
You'll do great at losing weight! Your very determined and strong! I'm am really over weight and I don't have the will power to do it. It was so nice to see a snip-it from you. You and the kids look great!
Im pregnant with my first I also have pcos and will be a SAHM! Only time I lost weight was while on metformin when I was ttc and also when I was single lol but for me I really enjoyed the weight loss yoga and pilates I found them easy to get started with!
Soooo good to see you girl! Im a SAHM too... I feel like Im in a rut! I cant get motivated to save my life..uugh! Its hard, my god is it? Boo...
Only advice I have if I were to follow it myself..lol... baby steps... cut portions and drink pooie ole water when you can!I hate water..gags me! I have managed to lose 13lbs doing just those two things. But I too lost all my 80lbs baby weight, but I need to keep it going to feel good in my own skin.
I am a SAHM mommy and I walk everyday with my kids in the jogging stroller. They are happy in the fresh air and quiet and it gets me out of the house and feeling great!
my sons 6 months now and i gained aloot of weight during pregnancy so I also need to lose weight but I cant get motivated and I dont know why errr dieting is the worst and I have never been this heavy either so im in the same boat as you.
Great to have you back! You should totally do the weight loss vlog! You dont have to tell your weight just tell how much you want to lose and base your number off of that. :)
being that you have limited time with the babies try to invest in a wii they went from $200 to now i've seen them $129. Try to get zumba, just dance pilates, yoga and perhaps the graphics hiopefully will entertain the babies. And maybe you can pick up a baby and use him/her as a weight. I myself did WW and lost weight. Or maybe try to get a baby and me workout video. Take them out for a stroll. you still look fabulous regardless but maybe some of these suggestions can motivate anyone. =)
I have to exercise most days to feel 'human' - i feel SO much better after my workout. can you walk with the twins? I am 6 weeks post partum and I still need to lose like 20 more lbs to be pre-pregnancy but I want to lose a LOT more before we try for our second baby!
I will start if it makes you feel better. I have a 4 month old daughter I work only 20 hours a week in the morning while my baby sleeps. I too hate my current weight and find it difficult to find time to work out. I barely have time to clean and shower since I breastfeed. I am 5'7" and 233lbs. I am with you. Start your journey and I will be there with you.
I am a SAHM of 3 I have an 8, 4, and 1 year old... I so get it... adult conversation is much needed. I love twitter it's great for interacting with other moms and youtubers that are on there. and it's quick you can post whatever your thinking and people will post back advice, or whatever the little bit of interaction is great.... Look in your area for mommy groups and playdates
Looking good as always, Sarah! Don't worry about your financial issues, you and your hubby will be fine in the end :) About your exercising issues, why don't you consider purchasing a pedometer or at least try to take a walk everyday?
Totally know how you feel ! I have always stayed at home with my daughter since she was born. My husband works from 5am-6:30pm . My daughter just started school for the first time at a private school. She is loving it and I'm able to get some things done before I have to pick her up, but it feels crazy her not being here with me. just a suggestion..I bought a jump house for $100 at toysRus and put it outside for my daughter to play in when she was your twins ages. I was able to get fresh air !
make more videos i love u ur such a wonderful person
