@TheWaynelds Well I guess they could have done though I guess they figured it too much hassle. Also the xbox was usually presented as a borderline PC so it made sense to put this on there. Personally I'd go for the PC/MAC version anytime though.

@deadfishy666 Doom 3 have the classic gameplay, if u play doom with mouse look and jumps it will be the same, the fisics and engine is almost the same as the classics doom and quake... Or better, whatever u can do in doom u can do in doom3... "Same" engine...

when u get used to it, u can kill a hell knight with fists, u just need to time when to move close and make him to try to hit u then u dodge and move forward to hit again . . a pain in the ass but much faster if u aim for the head. u can kill a pinky with 1 shotgun shot if its right in the middle of its "face" and the lostsouls u just need the good and old plasmagun . . . everything else, just pay attention, dodge, fire and go. many u can kill with chainsaw

If it installed correctly, you should just be able to run Doom 3, then select it from the "Mods" tab.

There should be a shortcut or something though... don't know for sure, haven't DL'd this myself.

doom 3 was a remake of the series. in the original doom you did have a shitty looking 20th century pump-action shot gun. all they did was use the doom 3 engine to recreate the original doom exactly the way it was (albeit some liberties were taken)

I think ID should consider doing a re-release of the original DooM games, but using the DooM 3 engine and graphics, like you've shown here. I think it'd sell huge just on nostalgia points. I know my grandma would buy it :) She's beaten every DooM game except 3 on Nightmare.
