I played little league football on this field back in the 70's and the field was messed up back THEN! You would think the city would have done something about that by now. This video was shot in 2005 and the area looks the same as it did back in the day. I guess the only differance is the Apartments are vacant now.

I see little has changed in the 30 years since I graduated. That is one matchbox field. Ten feet outside the end zones is the fence. I used to shoot the team game film from the roof of the apartment building that is directly behind the Home stands.
I used to also travel w/ the team. We went to a game at Northeast Philly High. After we left Roosevelt Blvd, we drove for a while on N.E. Highs "campus", pass the Lacrosse field, the baseball field, soccer field, to arrrive at their mini football "stadium". Stands were encased in concrete, the grass looked like a golf course green. They had their full band and cheerleaders. It was like playing at a college. That was about 1975.
