Also the more Assassins part is that in order to weld such an weapon, an "sacrifice" is required from the assassin

Also the reason Altair has no ring finger is because in assassins creed 1 the hidden blade of the assassin required a sacrifice of the ring finger. However in assassins creed 2 taking place a few hundred years later ezio took the plans for repairing the blade to Leonardo di'vinci (can't spell that right) nd he repaired the blade nd also improved it so it didn't require losing the ring finger. But besides those mispronunciations great review.

Altair's Finger was removed as a "right of Passage" for an assassin in those days , but Ezio finger didn't need to be cut off because of the advancement in Technology in the late 1800's, with the hidden blade,
