You touched on a very important point. Kids figgure out they have been lied to about cannabis pretty quick. Then the question forms in their minds, I wonder what else society has lied to me about? People don't respect liars. So why are we surprised when many youth dont respect society.
Prohibition harms society more than what it attempts to protect us from.
By cannabis being illegal, people are forced to go to people who may also be selling hard drugs and even if they are not, most people who sell drugs are liars and thieves and obviously not paying any taxes on it. As mentioned, by claiming marijuana is just as bad as hard drugs, it is destroying the trust people have in the government.
However, the claim some people make "it's just a plant" or "it's made by God" are the most ignorant arguments because everything comes from plants and/or God.

You touched on a very important point. Kids figgure out they have been lied to about cannabis pretty quick. Then the question forms in their minds, I wonder what else society has lied to me about? People don't respect liars. So why are we surprised when many youth dont respect society.
Prohibition harms society more than what it attempts to protect us from.

By cannabis being illegal, people are forced to go to people who may also be selling hard drugs and even if they are not, most people who sell drugs are liars and thieves and obviously not paying any taxes on it. As mentioned, by claiming marijuana is just as bad as hard drugs, it is destroying the trust people have in the government.
However, the claim some people make "it's just a plant" or "it's made by God" are the most ignorant arguments because everything comes from plants and/or God.

@guest2424 Nothing comes from God, every molecule stems from simple molecules which were shot into the universe by a supernova, the resulting explosive jetsam from that supernova created the gasclouds which formed the earth and our whole solar system. Read up on science, how anyone can claim that a being just magically created billions of suns within a matter of seconds is beyond me and anyone claiming that should be in a mental hospital.

@KreatorRage That's another point, not all believe in God, however, God in the past has been believed to be the sun, so "God" can be anything from a conscious being to nothing more than an explosion/supernova or atoms or oxygen or anything at all. The point I was making, is that claiming "God" or "Natural" or "just a plant" are arguments that will only make you look like a fool. I am glad Jody did not use these in her interview. Thank you for validating my claim.

kudos to jodie for setting the record straight seeds not marijuana. you might want to hop on board and get a little excited because right now the guy selling to your kids has control what kind of access to other drugs he has who knows maybe your kids dealer convinced him that some other drug is the shit. atleast with regulation its harder for kids to get a hold of it, its harder for kids to get alcohol then illegal drugs, thank you black market and prohibtion.
