    That's entertainment.

I don't know how many times his daddy beat him into the bar, but he definantly beat some talent into the kid!

  • i remember as a little kid, watching the old movies from the 30's and 40's on saturday aft. and seeing all these cool boogie and swing performances..

  • Hey, Jubal, You know it! Buffalo Bruce on the bass and the guys. FUN! Andy Stein's been in The Shoe Band and working with Garrison Keillor for years, now.. But those old days were the days. At least we have the recordings. A thing of beauty is a joy fprever!

Ya got that right, pyannaguy! I love the live version that the Commander & his boys recorded at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in the 70's. It REALLY swings! Some of those band members later joined the Western Swing band Asleep at the Wheel. Love those boogie woogie, Western Swing & rocakabilly sounds! Strictly from coolsville, daddy-o! • This is jazz musician Maurice Rocco. Born in Oxford, Ohio, Maurice Rockhold (1915-1976) later became known as a jazz musician who played the piano while standing up. He performed briefly with Duke Ellington. His career included musical performances in several movies during the 30s and 40s and he later toured in Europe and Asia. He was murdered in Bangkok, Thailand while he was living there and performing at nightclubs. He was buried in Oxford's Woodside Cemetery.

  • WHAT was he doing in Thailand? He is fantastic.

  • I presume that he may have been GAY ?
