He's wrong about astrology. I looked up Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and it says nothing about astrology. I know there are some bible verses that say some forms of divination ARE acceptable, one being astrology! Genisis 1:14 is just one example, for those who are Christian and would like to look. I'll have to study more on this to be sure, but I think the acceptable forms are the ones that entail reading God's creation, not a symbol or picture like tarot cards. For example the Star of Bethlehem conjunction is scientific fact. The Magi reached the infant Jesus on Dec. 25th 2BC (not his actual birth though). we can also determine April 3rd 33AD was the date of crucifixion with the blood moon. See the documentary "The Star of Bethlehem" , you'll be surprised what you learn.

@183jt actually that is not true. The bible says to study and look at the stars because they will indicate signs and seasons, but that is it. Second, a lot of people say that christianity is this and that, actually christianity is Judaism continued, which is one of the first "religions" and at the same time all of the people come from Adam, so they have the same "roots" but all other religions are twisted per se. So claming that christianity is "coded" is actually a misnomer.

@chazerc I do not say that those who sacrificed animals went to Hell by any means. But they are sent to a place (referred to in the Bible as Abraham's Bosom) in their wait for eternal life or eternal damnation.
This can be taken the wrong way, so please understand what I'm saying here....Animal sacrifices were a kind of "rollover plan" until Jesus died. They can not, nor could they ever, CLEANSE us of our sins according to Hebrews 10:1-4.

He's wrong about astrology. I looked up Deuteronomy 18:10-12 and it says nothing about astrology. I know there are some bible verses that say some forms of divination ARE acceptable, one being astrology! Genisis 1:14 is just one example, for those who are Christian and would like to look. I'll have to study more on this to be sure, but I think the acceptable forms are the ones that entail reading God's creation, not a symbol or picture like tarot cards. I'll look it all up to be sure though..

For example the Star of Bethlehem conjunction is scientific fact. The Magi reached the infant Jesus on Dec. 25th 2BC (not his actual birth though). we can also determine April 3rd 33AD was the date of crucifixion with the blood moon. See the documentary "The Star of Bethlehem" , you'll be surprised what you learn.

@183jt actually that is not true. The bible says to study and look at the stars because they will indicate signs and seasons, but that is it. Second, a lot of people say that christianity is this and that, actually christianity is Judaism continued, which is one of the first "religions" and at the same time all of the people come from Adam, so they have the same "roots" but all other religions are twisted per se. So claming that christianity is "coded" is actually a misnomer.

Prophecy is a smokescreen for divination. you could be hear from now to eternity and making the Bible fit or mould it to what makes you feel better for everyday life. You don't have to be "afraid " of God. You are supposed to have a respect for what God can do and for who He is. He knows everything.He can do anything He wants to do. Yeah,you have freewill, you have a choice. Reject God and you will spend eternity in hell. Embrace God and you will spend eternity with Him. God loved you so much that He gave His only son to die for you.He lets you have the free will to choose Him for yourself. God is not going to force Himself on you.

@chazerc They where saved by animal sacrifice. It was a symbol of the innocent sacrifice gods son was going to make for them. You should read the bible before you start saying its flawed. Even the rituals they had to do reflect what was done to jesus. Even more proof he was who he said he was.

And to negate your comment completely, does not Hebrews say that God saw animal sacrifices as insufficient for salvation? That ONLY Jesus could cleanse sin? This means animals did NOT save.

@chazerc I do not say that those who sacrificed animals went to Hell by any means. But they are sent to a place (referred to in the Bible as Abraham's Bosom) in their wait for eternal life or eternal damnation.
This can be taken the wrong way, so please understand what I'm saying here....Animal sacrifices were a kind of "rollover plan" until Jesus died. They can not, nor could they ever, CLEANSE us of our sins according to Hebrews 10:1-4.

I said it was a symbol of what Jesus was GOING to do FOR them. then I said even the rituals where symbolic. It's a testament to its supernatural meanings. It also relates to astronomy. Hence the heavens declare the glory of god.

God created the conditions where free-will creatures would be able to make a choice between obedience and disobedience to God.
