I had a big problem with the rythm in this one until I figured out that he is not plaing the C on the 5plet......It gave me a headache but you can play the C too,and if you go up to speed it sounds pretty well....of course, without the C is also a beautifull lick too :)
@shaddowrouge Closing yourself off to other musicians is a bad idea. People who call themselves "self-taught" aren't really self taught because they had to learn the licks they're playing from somewhere. Instead of creating licks from scratch, you should get ideas from others and then make them your own by altering them to your liking. Once you have many licks in your vocabulary, you combine them to form a song.
You are an asshole.. Seems the only reason why not..
So you never learn anything from anyone and just experiment? Yeah, you wouldn't even be alive right now.. Fact.
If you even play piano, I guess that you never learned anything from anyone, huh. You probably don't call the keys CDEFGAB huh? Must have your own system since you only believe in personal experimentation..
Did you cut your finger off and so shit on people cause you cant play?
tubing: You are correct. There is a 5, but I was thinking the other way around: because he doesn't play it, it is probably an excess 1/16th. Stil, if the notation IS correct, then so are you. He doesn't play that one C.
The reason is that the notation is wrong. Check the notes and see, the bar there has 1/16th too much in there. The middle C does not belong to the lick.
Much of these are based on the Blues scale and the chords which are being played in the left hand. In C, the blues scale is C, Eb, F, F#, G, Bb, C.
Just play those notes a basic twelve bar blues progression in C and remember you can also use the notes that you're playing in your left hand, in your right hand! :)

These piano licks are excellent but the ads are so irritating !!!

why learning single licks if you can just learn the scale and do experiments with this scale?
i think you get more blues-feel if you just practice with the blues scale ;)

Perhaps not, but it still sounded good. Proly just ghosted the note or something.
