You can crouch and go behind cover, crouching is the closest to ducking (if that's what you mean)

Sadly it doesn't work in ME2 :( but they're bringing it back in ME3 :)

No I didn't, all clean playthroughs. I did 7, and imported them into ME2, each one with diferent combination of choices to give me the full experience in ME2 and 3 :)

i'm playing this on normal difficulty and it seems pretty tough, just this first mission, the enemy kinda rape my squad and i was kinda helpless. >.< the shield in this game is pretty useless as the enemy one shot-ed my shield.....gosh

Yes you do :) But your gun can overheat if you shoot too much and you have to let it cool down.

@Vicks007kid I'm wondering how to use medi-gel to heal my party. Also I have a problem with grenades. Whenever I throw a grenade it just sits there doing nothing... if you can help me with these things I'd be very grateful.

On xbox, press Y to use medigel.

For the grenades, you have to press the button twice, once to throw, the second to detonate.. so you can detonate it mid-air if you want ;)
