  • I just got this radio yesterday and I'm loving it so far! It took me about 30 minutes to figure out (the manual isn't so great) and I know nothing about SW. I would highly recommend this radio to a beginner. Radio Shack $49.99. My only complaint is that it didn't come with an A/C adapter, but it's available on Eton's website for $12.95.

  • is 1040 WHO out of Des Moines Iowa? I've heard they have a lot of power at night time.

  • My guess for the station on AM 680 is KNBR out of San Francisco.

  • I just got this radio... digging it so far but I still need to play around with it a lot more.

  • I have the same radio. It works good for its size.

  • EXCELLENT video! Thank you for posting.

How does the metering look on this radio? I heard it has something other than a typical bar graph/

  • @AudiophileTubes

You alternate the display option and a s/n ratio is displayed where the time is displayed on this video. s/he could have also turned off that annoying beep.

  • @shreddez not to mention he left the shut off timer on as well

  • @AudiophileTubes S/N ratio on top left area

  • @calcvids how do i read the S/N and would be example of a good signal?

  • @GMSamuelRhine You want the S/N to be a high number (check your signs). I don't know what an example of a good signal is because I don't own one. I have an S-meter.

  • @calcvids ah thanks for the help i found out it's good if the first part is high (S-signal) and the second is slow because thats the noise level.
