you can hear both songs back to back and go "i kinda get it," but it's not nearly as obvious as a lot of rap samples.dr. dre sampled a lot of shit early in his career and got sued for it. by this point in his career he understands that it's best to cut the deal now with the artist before the record comes out instead of let them sue you and let the judge decide that they get 99% of the profit because you were stealing.

These guys that listen to nothing but hip-hop all day check out where the samples are from in the CD booklet's small print & come out looking for the original. That way they can learn something about how to sample stuff from other artists & use it for their own whack beats.

They didn't sample the song. If you look at the booklet it says "interpolation" meaning they replayed this song and used what they played. I can definitely hear the parts they took (1:12 for example).
