At the time the video was taken that was a current Dyson model. It would be impossible for it to be a decade older since Dyson has only been selling vacuums in the U.S.A. for 8 years. Thanks for your feedback.
Hmm that Dyson is very OLD compared to the Miele which is like a decade newer. Not really a fair comparison. You'd need to atleast get a recent Dyson Ball model to compare imo. Otherwise great funny video
It figures! A few times, I felt the wind from one of those Dyson bladeless fans, and guess what? Those things practically blow air like a Lasko running backwards.
@dylankate1 Yes, actually I did. You can hear the brush running in the video. We have been in business 34 years and would never post a video that was not a fair comparison.
DYSON SUCKS, I had total 3 dyson upright and handheld. The first one turn out to be a LEMON, then I purchase a new one, then after half-year, it went broke. And the DC 25 have became no suction after half year of use. Then you phone to the customer service and try to get it repair, then they just ask you to do a lot of Stupid test and that it, not have it repair at all.....I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER DYSON PRODUCT. And there is no AFTER PURCHASE SERVICE AT ALL.....the warranty does not do a thing
Miele has been highly rated from what I've read, and has been recommended as the vacuum of choice for allergy sufferers. That said, it's also got a hefty price tag.
I believe it, Dyson is the Bose of the vacuum world. Very decent design, but overpriced for what it is. Gobs of money spent on advertising and brand building until the uninformed assume that there is no equal. FWIW, I own a Kirby. Consumer reports doesnt even review a vacuum unless there is advertising potential.
Dyson truly struggles to get everything up off the carpet. I often have to go over spots two or three times,. Even though I regularly clean the round filter, empty the bag and clean the turbine head, it is a crap vacuum cleaner. Dyson is all hype. What many don't know is that it used to be a brand called PHANTOM which flopped. Dyson took it over, repackaged it and renamed it. And put the cost up.
@EddieAlda How many stupid pills did you eat this morning? That piece of shit Phantom came out WAY after Dyson, and it flopped because it was a piece of shit. Wait'll you see what happens when Dyson's patent is over. EVERY manufacturer will be incorporating the cyclone technology into their product. Hoover did it about 8 years ago in Britain, and had to pay Dyson $7 Million in compensatory damages for patent infringement. Miele is decent, but WAY overpriced...which means the margins are great!
As I have said in the past to anyone who has questioned the integrity of our video. Stop by our store anytime and we will do the demo in person. We have been in business for 34 years. We have not stayed in business this long by deceiving our customers.
no its not fake and im by no means a Dyson "supporter" and im actually thinking about buying a Miele, but how do we know he didnt just disconnect the brush roll?
Miele canisters start at $299. Miele Uprights start at $429. Dyson fullsize vacuums start at $399. Plus you will replace the Dyson at least twice in the lifetime of one Miele.
BestVac I work at a vacuum store and unlike the children below I know what a good vacuum is and I must agree that a Miele S7 will outclean a Dyson. In fact any Dyson lol.
I just got the brand new Miele model today, I purchased the Dyson ball animal a year ago and had to exchange it 3 times...it breaks really easily, it does not suction as well as it advertises, the cord is not as long, and Dyson's warranty is absolutely horrible, the same piece apparently was defective on all 3 machines and it costs $80 within the warranty period to get it repaired, rip off...don't get me wrong I was absolutely in love w the Dyson ball vacuum while it was working, it is not very
I agree that this is absolute "bs". They are using a Dyson that is at least 10 years out dated and the Miele is the brand new model. Second, I agree the "bouncing powder" looks incredibly fake. I had the S-7 Miele Tango and it NEVER did that. I returned it for the Dyson animal. Vac stores always downplay Dyson because they want you to buy brands like Miele and Riccar because you can't get em at retail stores like Lowes or Wal-mart. You can get Dysons anywhere, taking away business from them
@tonicair You are absolutely, positively 100% correct, Tonicair...for the reasons you've mentioned. I've had my Dyson DC7 Full Gear for 8 years now, and the only problem I ever had was a broken hose, which was my own fault. Dyson replaced it without any questions. Oops, I also had a loose trap door on the bin, but Dyson fixed that as well for free. Design improvements have fixed the issue permanently. Don't let anybody kid you with these fake videos. Dyson is the real deal.
Dyson is still much better. It has more suction. Now they actually use a real brush. Now Dyson is the best. It wasn't really fair for the Dyson because that model was for UK carpets. UK carpets have much lower pile. Now they are the best.
@zunehdrocks Suction alone does not clean. The machine must have sufficent airflow in order to properly clean, and that's regardless if you are using an attachment or the floor head. What this demo is showing is that the Dyson DC 07 / 14 roller does not create positive agitation. New rollers used on modern Dyson's went to a cylindrical housing with spaced bristles to help prevent hair wrapping onto them. However, these still do not create positive agitation.
@zunehdrocks How do you mean that Dyson has more suction? What are you basing this on?I was just curious to know so I could learn more about what you said:)
@zunehdrocks Well the DC33 and DC28 have a little more at around 100 inch's.But the diff. in 90+ and 100 inch's is not noticable at all.The airflow is just as important if not more important than just a high suction rating. The Miele S7 has over 140cfm.The Dyson's have 65 or less. This is why they are not the best on pet hair.It takes a good brushroll and alot of airflow(speed and amount of volume of air moved). The Miele even with a 1/2 full bag still has more airflow than Dyson.Just saying:-)
@zunehdrocks High end vacuum stores hate folks like you...the informed. The other side of the beater bar issue is, of course, the more powerful the beater bar, the more it'll tend to eat your carpeting...which nobody ever mentions either. Yes, Dyson's are extremely expensive for what you're getting, but that's only because they hold the patents for the best technology on the market. When the patent expires, their design will be ubiquitous and the cost will drop like a stone. Watch and see.
If you knew anything about sweepers the beater bar is the heart of any good vacuum and thats what a dyson lacks, that was not computer generated thats how good the beater bar on miele is a dyson is no miele.I personaly watched a miele vibrate dirt out of carpet 10 inches in front of the sweeper no gimmicks.
@216robh Look this video from bestvac which he compare Air driven vs Eleric driven brushes. I think the cloud in front the Miele S7 is 'cause the Miele brushbar maybe have longer and stronger fibres than Dyson and/or Miele's brushbar have more RPM and vibrates more the surface making all the dirt lift of. This powder is talc, isn't? The talc particles are too small, so is hard to suck up and need the vibration of the surface to release the rug. Is what I think. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't have sure
