Sorry but i aggree bout using vinyl ova cd's. I think those cd things completly spoils the fun and is in fact cheatin,coz the thing works out the beats for you and that is not exactly bonafide djing-n when u think djs earn a fair few bucks,i wouldnt pay a fortune to hear a fake.

Personally I think the beat matching is not something to be talking about when your a dj as it really is quite simple but what about if your a mobile dj and you cant beat match because your mixing between different genres? But rather matching keys and choosing the right songs, plus any effects you may use if your mixer allows you to do so aswell as this you have your microphone to use.. So by you saying cds do the beat matching for you..

um. no? any decent technics deck will have a light to aid you align a beat. its pretty much just as easy to do.

a cd deck doesnt do it for you, ever used one? its fiddly if you wanna do it properly. quite frankly, let technology help you make a great mix to be honest, i learnt how to beat match on vinyl and cd decks. its something a good dj will learn, but will only do it old school when completely necessary.

leaves more room to be creative with loops, effects, and other stuff to make it good.
