ps i used way too much adhesive. that stuff is a bitch. i say this because the carpet i used is kind of "ghetto" and i ended up wanting to remove it to replace with someting cleaner looking. but it was too hard. so now it is more ghetto, with the ghetto carpet plus a few missing pieces.

do you need staples and carpet on the enclosures

carpet it mostly for aesthetics. it also functions as a padding, sort of... carpeted sub siting on a wood floor vs. wood sub on wood floor might equal unintentional vibration.

i think if the sub is removable, it needs to be carpeted. if it's fastened/permanent in the vehicle, you may or may not need the carpet.

that carpet adhesive is a right fuck about. i covered my sub with carpet and used this shit to stick it oh i tell ya it gets everywhere. places i didn't even point it went. good build mate. did it sound good?
