I love the band And Van Morrison but I have to admit the worst live act I've ever seen was VAN the man. He was terrible. $100 ticket, he played for 45min, couldn't make out one song he played then left the stage, no encore. people booed for 20 minutes after he left

@USATODAYcollege You'll also notice he never looks at the audience. He closes his eyes when he's looking out and only opens them when he's looking offstage. He always had stage fright. I've heard stories that sometimes he had to run across his dressing room and throw himself against the walls (repeatedly) before a show to work up the courage to get on stage. But he could sure sing.

One of the greatest recorded moments in rock and roll history. It's funny that the great Rick Danko is late coming in on every chorus and it doesn't matter a bit, Van's vocal is so rich he carries it. They don't make 'em like this anymore kiddies. I saw the Band at the Greek in L.A. 2-3 months before the Last Waltz. Had I known I would have walked thru fire to be there that night.
