  • Everyone is hating on you girl! You have amazing strokes and an awesome one hand. I tried the one hand and its a hard shot to learn! Great serve as well and footwork. I applaud you! I'm from Chicago too and I play tennis, do you coach?

  • all you gyus who are ripping on her, id like to see you play against her.

  • I have a better strokes then her and I'm 16

  • Youre decent, but nowhere near pro. I could send deep heavy topspin balls to your backhand (which is weak) and youd be in big trouble.

  • Hello, my name is Tayo Bailey and the strongest part of my tennis game is my tennis.

  • LOL at the fact she thinks she's a pro

  • This song is Awesome with a capital A. Tayo, I love your game too... these people don't know what they're talking about, you rock!

  • Don't listen to any of this negative stuff Tayo

    -B

  • um.... good, maybe. Professional means that you make your living by playing tennis. The fact that you went to college or university before you turned pro tells me that you aren't of the standard. Ya you are good.... but you are not professional. This was three years ago... you got an updated vid so we can see at least weather you have gotten A LOT better

  • are you kidding me?!?! no where near professional.

  • Translation:

"I want to go pro someday. I made this video to find sponsors. I call myself a 'professional' but lack everything that makes that word meaningful. I am a 4.5 (I guess) college womans player and can beat up on you average 3.0 male."

Cant knock you for trying, but if anything you're "teaching pro" and not a "touring pro".

  • solid 5.5-6.0 at best but cmon get a stronger practice partner the dude got nothing back

  • lool you suck no near a pro player

  • "my serve is one of my greatest strengths" lol

  • She is playing a tomato can. Anyone can look good against the guy she was playing. good female lefty, not too many of them.

  • She is playing a tomato can.

  • she plays on the itf which is the minor leagues so to speak of tennis itf is actuall the governing body of professional tennis most people are not on wta or atp pur say because it takes lots of sponsor ship and coaches and entourage to do that. anyway google her she is a pro player and would thrash all yall losers commenting get on a court and play fatties

  • lol... nice acting

  • im sorry but if you arent in the WTA tour you arent a professional tennis player. I quick search on the WTA's website returns 0 results for Tayo Bailey.

If she can claim to be a "professional tennis player" then what we do we call jankovic, henin, williams, hantuchova, etc? GODS?

  • couldnt she at least hit a drop shot?...

  • so your not on the WTA tour? then you're not professional.

  • BS in biology...that and a token will get you on the subway....

  • All of you saying that that she isn't good should shut up, becuase I think her technique is beautiful. You guys just can't stand that she is a really good tennis player and youre not.

  • shes gonna get her ass kicked playing pro all the best pro players didnt play college

  • she sucks... yeah... what a big head.... I bet i could find a thousand guys that play ten times better than her....

  • you cool girl) i rspect people like u) i wish u all the best!

  • wow your strokes are great. they dont have that feminine awkwardness that i see alot. 1 hand backhand and volleys are butter smooth too which is amazing.

  • youre very good

  • finally an actually serious lefty. Go lefties!

  • Cool. Like your backhand :D. I couldn't tell whether it would be a slice or topspin backhand until you swung through the ball.

  • Just keep the grind on and you will achieve that dream....Go For It......

  • Tayo dont listen to the haters on here...live, breathe, and become ur dream...i know u can do it.

  • She's no where near a professional player...sorry! She's a low-grade Div.1 player..middle at best. Professional means you're part of the WTA circuit, have played challengers/ futures, etc. I know USTA female juniors who have more developed games and will beat this girl at "Love"!

  • @xman4un completely agree she would be 1000 in the world at best

  • @xman4un At first I thought you were being overly critical when I read your comment months ago, but now that I've actually seen college females play, as well as semi pro males and other good players, I realize now that she really isn't at the pro level. Barely D1 level, as you say. WHICH IS STILL an accomplishment, because that's about the 5.0 level but, yes, not pro.

  • @xman4un i don't think that you can play better. xD

  • nice ground strokes!!!

  • AliciasAce, I highly doubt that your 15 and better even if you were a guy she's a solid player that would school any high school boys varsity team.

  • considering i have a world ranking i think i am =]

  • Great, whats your name and ranking? That's easy enough to check.

  • bullshit

  • bullshit i dont see anything impressive abotu this woman she is the type that i could beat drop shotting and lobbing the shit out of her im what you call an all round player. i bring variety to the game rarly would you see drop shots from the hardest hitting players in the game. and that is a critical shot if you are playing against her cuz she doesent have the greatest footwork so,

  • errr you sound like a big headed prick

  • no she wouldnt

  • Very good player, keep up the hard work!

  • can you hit backhand or just slices!

  • blagh, shes ok. but dude, nowhere near professional. I'm 15 and better.

  • sick whats ur USTA ranking and I will tell you if you are better than her.

  • not from USA, from UK

  • whats ur lta rating then :P

  • My name is Juan Carlos Ferrero. You wanna talk that smack to me. She's good enough for the tour

  • Tennis is my life!! I LOVE TENNIS!!!!! I started at late age of 14 now i'm 17 and I simply c an not stop!!!!

  • HAHAH PRO TENNIS PLAYER HAHAHA!!!!!

  • preety good backhand......but i didn't really like your forehand....lol

  • how the fuck is that funny??

  • you are so solid =D good luck, did u really start at 11 cuz if u did you are a talent!

  • Why is she on Youtube? Please keep playing. Mabey it`s just me but she reminds me of Rubin.

  • She's not a professional player, if she was, she probably wouldn't be around coaching you.

  • your really amazing! : )

i like how you warm up also.

  • Im sorry, but your'e not a "professional tennis player". Your'e a former college tennis player like the rest of us.

  • lol

  • dude she's one of my tennis coaches. and trust me, she's professional all right!

  • hello tayo

i am 13 years old and training to become a professional tennis player. please look at my vids of me playing tennis and give me your verdict. The vids on youtube will be coming up soon so please bear with me. just check up rohann's tennis. P.S your an awesome player!!!

  • Hi this is Tayo from the video. It is interesting to read the posts here. While some are positive and others not, I thank you all for your input. For the record I am a pro tennis player, and for those who do not know perfection is a steady process. I have been training hard in Flordia on a full-time basis and know that I am much better now than in this video. I understand that everyone has their opinions on how to play tennis but as long as one has strong fundamentals their tennis can be sound.

  • you must be kidding that your serve is the greatest strength. that is like 55-60 mph I have seen in the video. What is the speed when you finish warm up with your serve? Are you 5ft 5? Maybe you should use Michael Chang graphite longbody at 28 inch like me and you can pick up 8-10mph on your serve? Becuase I can hit balls bounce to the fence without dropping with it.

  • Sigh. Ok, kid, let's see your video. By the way, hitting balls so they can "bounce to the fence" does not mean ANYTHING. You can hit a flat ball at 40mph as long as it's clean it will easily bounce to the fence.

Anyways, the video looks great Tayo. I am a tennis coach, though certainly not at the pro level! Though I have hit with some very high level players and have a friend with junior wins over Federer and Roddick. If I had any criticism (though I haven't watched the point play yet)...

  • it's that your volleys don't look crisp (relatively). Could be because you are hitting casually but many players (even pros today) dont' stick their volleys enough. Some are world class volleyers but don't do it this way, it's almost a style thing, but I also feel it makes the best volleys. I like to see absolutely crisp, sharp volleys, not hitting "though them". Hard to describe in so few words.

Only other criticism is that you used this ATTROCIOUS music from the worst Rocky movie ever! ;-)

  • Otherwise, like the athletic movement and balance! Stay light so you can use your quick feet to the maximum. You have a powerful build so it is easy for you to get heavier (fat and muscle ;-).

And of course, don't listen to the critics on youtube, or on the internet! haha, you can kick our butts in real life ;-)

  • tayo it's nicole from tennis. guess wat?? i found the video!!! yay!!!! you're awesome!!! talk 2 u l8r at tennis tomorrow.

  • you have no pase and no game plan

  • wow

    you're good

  • Toyo, I see you are from Chicago. My daughter plays and she wants to become professional tennis player. She's 11 years old and her name is Alexis Jones. Take a look at her videos on Youtube (Search Alexis Jones Tennis) and tell me what you think about her game. If you'll in Chicago soon.. stop by Hyde park - Bally.

  • you might want to work on your backhand slice a little..but the rest is solid :P.

  • Alright a leftie! Good luck on the pro tour!

  • good luck!

  • You are very good. I think most of the posters here do not realize how much a video will slow down the speed of the ball. I advise all of you to stop watching the ball and instead watch her feet, her consistent contact point, and solid hits. Also, she's obviously not giving her 100% on her groundies in this video. She can obviously hit a ton harder. She's being consistent, solid, and still hitting very hard. It's cool that you have a 1 handed backhand. We don't see that much in the WTA.

  • Yeap That why i love Henin.

  • you have such great footwork

  • is this at center grove?

  • To be a tennis professional in tennis' new economy, you will have to be able to teach tennis as an ambidextrous exercise, that integrates the mind body spirit soul. Apparently, you haven't considered this truth, way and life.

  • shes a pro, why doesnt she use topspin backhand?

  • Pros don't use topspin backhands, to be frank, most use a flat.

  • Um, yes they do... and what you said is contradicting.... you said they don't then you said most used flat... MOST

  • Who you?

    thats not nice

  • Never heard of you

annd i think if you were in australia you wouldnt be ranked unfortunately,

if you tought me ur forehand i would have the technique to be number one and im only 12.

  • cocky much? go back to the playground

  • hi. if you're a professional tennis player, then why dont you have a profile or record in the wta site?

  • I think when she says she is a prfessional, she means that she teaches tennis as a profession. A pro means you use your sport to make money, which also counts as teaching it.

  • she said that she is a professional tennis player... it means, she plays tennis and make money with it....

  • Will you be in the WTT next year?

  • I don't know but it would be great.

  • omg do you know liz tusler?

  • I don't believe I know Liz Tusler, sorry.

  • what grip does she use for serving ?

  • I use more of a continental grip.

  • the backhand grip its good for big serve

  • well you play pretty awesome and i belive your a good tennis player ,.....but your not ready...

work harder and i bet you can become a pro

    well....

  • Thank you for your opinion.

  • u could probably beat maria sharapova :) and me. i love ur vollleys though

  • Thanks :-)

  • are you ranked at all? in the wta?

  • Not on the WTA yet but I am a nationally ranked professional in the US.

  • man i wish i could play like that but yea i have a question if someone wants to be a professional tennis player where is the best place to start?

  • I would say Florida

  • When did you start playing tennis, if you don't mind me asking?

  • I started at 11

  • This is love for the game. We need more people like this! Tennis is so under rated.

  • Wow thank you so much for the video. I just started playing tennis this year and im trying hard each time i play.

  • Your good

Actualy I was expecting to see you pull of some amazing serve and volley

I wouldnt be surprised if you mix that in

  • Thank you, I am a serve and vollier actually but for the sake of the video I wanted to keep it a little clean. But yeah I do it alot. :-)

  • o my gosh!! ur soo amazing!!!!!!

i love tennis too, but i just started and i pretty much suckk =[

i played in a match yesterday, and lost. I go to tennis practice everyday, and i practice with a friend on the weekend, but there's barely feel any improvement.

How do u learn to play so well????????

    your my new role model!!

    you're soooo cool!!!

how do u serve so well??

    you're amazing!!!

  • Hey, thank you for your comments. The only way to become a good player is to practice hard everytime you set foot on the court. So continue to practice, improvement will come.

  • I believe that she's a great player too. However, you should look for a GOOD coach to show you all of the proper motions for serve and otherwise, b/c its terrible to get the muscle memory of the wrong form. Good luck though, I'm a high school sophomore and I'm playing tennis for my first year too. I just have the advantage of having a mom who has played tennis all of her life who makes a great coach. Again, good luck, and Tayo, you're great! Hope you get a sponsor.

  • As you may know as a tennis player certain motions work for certain people. I had a different motion but it caused a certain injury so I had to change to fix it. Actually my serve is sooo much better now with a more condensed motion. "Different strokes for different folks." I am a certified international coach also so I know a nice amount about tennis and different strokes. On the other hand, thank you for your advise and consideration.

  • Where do you live, I want to play against you

  • i know you, you were hitting wiht one of Tony's students at ITC.

  • Yes I was.

  • holy fuk i love you tayo

  • Thank you

  • Are you the younger unknown sister of the William sisters? becuase you got a phat ass. and a nasty game

  • lol

  • No I am not, and thanks though.

  • work more on the forehand, a little bit to late!

  • Thanks for the advice.

  • Very good!

  • hey were u at the us open cuz i think i saw u...and wut rank are u...

  • Very good

  • I am looking for a sponsor/endorser. If you know someone who might be interested, please contact me!!

  • No I do not have any ties, though I do know that my name is of African Decent.

  • the groundstrokes are solid!

  • Thank you

  • Amazing! O_O

    That's is soooo gewd! ^_^

  • Thank you
