  • this version is better than the rondo version, that one was too much disco

  • hur dur bandwagon new games suck

  • Snes adds a cool techno vibe ;P

  • What is a song? A miserable little sequence of sounds! But enough parody, dance at you!

  • Is it weird that I actually find this BETTER than the Rondo of Blood version? O.o

  • @Jazzypants2007 Not really. I feel the same way.

  • @Jazzypants2007 Me too. I think it's because the somewhat less advanced audio technology works better with the sort of techno sound.

  • Boy, this is even funkier than Michiru Yamane's jazz remix of the theme.

  • people rondo of blood and dracula x are different games the japanese version of this game is called vampire kiss the only similarities are the cover and characters

  • Is this a good Castlevania game? Better than Super Casltevania 4?

  • @Supermariofan14 It's a good game, but in the end it's an inferior remake of Rondo of Blood on the PC Engine(turbografx-16 here in the states). If you have a Wii, go download Rondo of Blood on the Virtual Console immediately. It's only 9 bucks and worth every penny.

And no, this game isn't even in the same league as Super Castlevania 4, but I consider Castlevania 4 to be the best Castlevania ever made.

  • @vio2112 Actually I liked this game better than super castlevania 4. only because of the music.

  • This has got to be my most favorite version of the Beginning.

  • 0:26-0:41

    The Fresh Prince of Dracula?

  • sounds like metroid

  • @Cyberleader12

God your right. Super metroid at beginning

  • yeah and there are also some elements I noticed during the other parts.

  • Reminds me of Inspector Gadget at a few parts. Yeah, I said it.

  • The chorus reminds me of Michael Jackson's Thriller.

  • Interesting note, this one is one of the few versions written in a different key;C minor

  • no hes just holding his fist up like a bad ass mofo!!i mean when u hear thunder and see lightning doesnt it make u want to hold your fist up and curse whatever damn thing u want..like dracula?

  • Hands down best version of this song!

  • I like this music just like your Top Gear music.

  • haha top gear music was awsome

  • You got that right!

  • His left hand... He looks like he's holding a cross, except he's not... o_O

  • It certainly appears he's supposed to be holding something :O

  • Le'gasp! Maybe they removed the cross for religious reasons! =O

  • wow I see that actully DoS's remix is based on this one. One great arrangement

  • haven't played the pc-engine version i see? :P

  • J'préfère la version Begining FDS

  • You just dont see good shit like this anymore! I would soooo rather have good music than good graphics!

  • @TenguGuy amen!

  • @TenguGuy and thats why call of duty modern warfare SUCKS

  • @TenguGuy Andrew Fletcher once said, "let me make the songs of a nation and I care not who makes its laws." He did not say this about art.

  • Did they remix this for Portrait of Ruin?

    (er, Castlevania Noob)

  • Beginning is not in Portrait. It's in Castlevania III, Super Castlevania IV, Bloodlines, Rondo/Dracula X, Dawn of Sorrow, and Judgment.

  • the first castlevania that starts it the belmot legend is lament of innocence cuz leon or w/e his name is'is the first belmont look it up and leons frien becomes dracula

  • What the hell are you talking about? I'm making a correction on music and you're trying to give me a lecture on the history of Castlevania.

  • sorry i share a account with a friend im sorry for him lecturing you =/

  • Comment removed

  • love this song. they just don't put effort in music like they used to. Good graphics does not constitute a good game. Love this song, but damn the level was hard.

  • This on sounds so much better than Bloodlines' arrangement

  • Classic remake of a classic theme.

    Classic^2.

  • classic.

  • This reminds me of the Inspector Gadget. Still awesome though!

  • Groovy!

  • Another classic NES tune remixed for the 16-bit era, nice.

  • This song is originally from Castlevania 3, but I can see that you do enjoy this version more.

  • Oh don't think that I automatically do! I absolutely love Castlevania music so don't be suprised if other versions appear in the list.

  • I haven't heard SC 4's version, but I like the way this one sounds.

  • In all honesty, I prefer the version from SCV IV. This sounds a little too... hip-hopish.

  • It's like Castlevania meets Thriller.

  • @QuikquikMcSliq yeah, i was thinking.. "mhmm.. this could as well have been composed by michael jackson"

  • @QuikquikMcSliq More like NES meets SNES. :)
