here, here!! I totally agree with ya! I actually got to see my Sox win a world series. I stayed up late every game of that series. Even the game that went past 1:00 in the morning. Remember that game? What was it like 15 innings? Intense! Man, those were good times. Good times.

As a little boy in the mid 70s I suffered thru a White Sox game in which Rich Goose Gossage held the other team scoreless about 8 or 9 innings; problem was, Sox couldn't score and eventually lost. Then play-by-player Harry Caray's bitterness was evident;I felt frustration, depression, helplessness. Finally, finally, this: THE WHITE SOX WIN THE WORLD SERIES!
