Awesome info! However, I noticed when I go to the facebook.com/pages/create... I'm directed to create either a Community Page or an Official Page. I already have a separate page attached to my personal profile for my business allowing people to 'like' and see feeds I post. But setting up an actual business page seems different from what I've already setup. I'm assuming I would setup an official page for this, right?

@contact2kriti You will need to create an online presence of some kind in order to take advantage of an online marketing service. You can even create a free group on facebook and market your product or service their... or create a free wordpress blog including information about what you intend to sell.

@perm1212perm You can select which friends to invite, you will need to click each name individually. This way only the people you want to invite to your facebook group will be sent an invitation.

@rskbug As long as he did not use the Facebook Coupon, the chances are it will work just fine. I believe you must fill in the application with a real credit card number before you are eligible for the credit anyway.

I set up a personal page for our company and now a business page. I know the URL of our personal page, how do i find the URL of our business page? I hope it is not that long URL. Why would I want both personal and business?

Personal vs. Business Facebook Pages, often people who have a personal page use that page to network with personal friends.

These friends could generate sales leads or not.

People who follow your Business Facebook Page are normally referred to as fans as of your company.

This type of page would be fully related to distribution of business information.

Regardless, two methods to gain potential customers beats one method alone.

I followed this to create a facebook business account. Then I read Facebook's info on the matter. It sounds like you do not have to create a personal account to have a business page. Is that true? My boss wants me to get rid of the personal account associated with the business page. So I don't know what to do now. Can you help?

Just create a personal page that is for the owner of the company, it is just double the marketing which he/she should like.

No real difference, it is more of an issue of increasing visibility.

It is just another way to make people aware of your cause, issue or business. Similar to why you market your business on radio, tv, web, Google, Yahoo and so on.

The bigger your marketing network the wider reach for your message.
