I can't believe Andy's doing these ads. He either must be out of his mind or desperate for money. What is the purpose of using Andy anyway? Do they expect people to sit up straight and say 'Andy! Andy's a living legend! It must be a smooth idea if ol' Andy's talking it up. I was totally against it til I saw him in this ad!' Um, no.
Anyway, I still like Andy the actor. Still enjoy Matlock and TAGS. That won't change unless he goes completely psycho.
This just proves he drank the Kool-Aid. Imagine his shock when he learns what's REALLY in the bill! When they're carting his ass off to Hospice he'll understand (but it will be too late!).
PPP released a poll on this today. It's safe to day that the unpopular Obamacare bill brought Griffith down, he didn't make Obamacare any more popular.
The left exploited a senile Barry Goldwater in his final years, it's sad to see them doing this to another cherished icon. I can't imagine Griffith has a full understanding of just what Obamacare is.
You would think his daddy had told him something like, "there's no such thing as a free lunch". How could he even thunk there is such a thing a government providing anything for free? If gubmint is offering, working folk are paying - you'd best believe it!
The "real" Andy of Mayberry would have common sense enough to know that Medicare is a rip off and is so corrupted with fraud that politicians (like Obama) use the promise of "cutting Medicare fraud" to "balance next year's budget".
Andy Griffith needs to stick to acting. Everyone should know, he was PAID to say that stuff. Fortunately, most voters are too young to respect Andy's flawed opinion.
It breaks my heart to hear Andy is backing Obamacare. I agree that he must be going senile. He definitely is no Andy Taylor, although I guess that we all thought of him as that TV character. I've lost a lot of respect for him
I am not impressed, and it doesn't change my mind about Obumbercare...not buying it Andy. Couldn't if I wanted to...Obumer has stolen all of our money!
Good job on countering this propaganda. Bless his heart. Who doesn't love Andy Griffith? I am sure he thinks he's doing something good. AARP did endorse this at one time, after all.
Well goooolly, Andy! Are you nuts?

Matlock and Sheriff Taylor are not real people. Medicare is not a "real" reform either, its a power grab by statists who prop it up using shills.

I think that Andy had a right to say whatever he wants, just like I have the right to say that I like the Health Care reform.
And by the way, his TV character Andy Taylor is not a real person. Neither is Mayberry.

@jack2530016 You can still love the character without loving the actor. Mayberry is how America should be.

Poor Andy. Somene needs to get him a 'big orange' drink, sit him down, and explain reality in down home, rural Mayberry-like terms.
