@elcuitlayo16 the higher the set difficulty, the more artifacts you can find. you find them by questing, going outside of regular ways, looking at stashes (use your pda), near by anomalies, etc...
lol using the 4 pack artifact for repair is an essential thing when going into the worlderness with a bomb shell of ammo. you can be out there for days and not worry about your armor going to hell and using health artifacts to not starve.
Okay i finally have the locations of 4 battery drops lol 1 blood sucker quest - it becomes repeatable so you may be able to get 4 batteries if u play the game long enough from just that quest 2 Yantar in a pipe to the north east of the research base in a secret stash 3 agroprom swamp in the water 4 garbage to the right of the entrance to the dark valley. you are welcome.

The problem is, that there are two types of battery-artifacts. One works with fire, the other works with electricity. I suppose you either have a set of the other artifact, or have a mix of the two. If it's the first, it means you have to walk into an electro-anomaly.

other than this trick, you cant repair weapons or armour in the standard version of stalker. you can in the new clear sky prequel, but not in the original. i think there are also some mods for stalker that allow for armour and weapons repair, but i dont know which mods they are.
it was a major thing that they missed. if you dont like the armour degrading, then dont install the patches, as in the un-patched version your armour doesnt get damaged at all, but your weapons still do
u can't repair IN SHOC but if u download the mod "Oblivion Lost" u can :D but it's not cheap and the game becomes a ltitle harder :/ but i got 140k fast and easy :D! and good guns :P i have big lag to... But the mod fix some Crap bugs and make the game smoother :P less lag :D but u have to start over :/

It's quite logical, if fire does 1 (of 10hp) damage, then if you have 50% anti fire, the fire does 0.5 damage, if you have 100% anti fire (by shell artifacts) fire does 0 damage, so nothing happens. If you have above 100% anti fire, like 150% anti firem the fire does -0,5 damage, so it actually increases you health.
@GrizMaster they are called battery (there are 2 types of the battery artifacts, 1 is a flame battery that gives +30% against burn, and the other 1 is an electro battery that gives +30% against electricity).
