I haven't watched this video since you first posted it. Reading the synopsis, it's interesting to watch back, and examine more closely what you wrote. It's so easy to forget the complexity that is editing, especially when we're bombarded by thousands of videos everyday. Millions of videos on youtube use the edit - whether it be a cut, jump cut, fade, cross dissolve... yet to understand and explore the implication of this action. That really stands out in this haze of media.

Hm, interesting. I like what you have to say, although I would argue that the same phenomenon occurs in other art forms, like writing and traditional art. An artist/writer must also make corrections in their draft/sketches and omit certain details, details which, had they had a chance to exist in the finished product, would have certainly changed the reality within the finished product.

In fact, in traditional art, an artist might make several sketches and choose the best-- just as in film.

It can mean nearly anything. In the context he says it in, though, it would seem as though he is implying that a person is a lot to take in; there is more to her than meets the eye. Either that, or he is implying that she is a large, fragile container filled with liquid dihydrogen-monoxide, or, in english, literally a tall glass of water.
